Job Title: Physiotherapist
Specialisations: Physiotherapy
Languages: English Biography: have a 10-year background in Sports Science from Fitness, Sports Massage Therapy, Health Screening and Health Club Management Prior to becoming a Chartered Physiotherapist. I have worked alongside the England Athletics Physiotherapy Team at the UK U23 and U20 Championship trials and also for MK Dons Academy. Most recently over the last 5 years I have worked in the NHS, a Physiotherapist for BMI Private Healthcare, a Wellness Health Advisor for Bupa and I now work in private practice.
My extensive experience has given me a particular interest in working with sports injuries. I place a strong emphasis on manual therapy, (hands on therapy) and exercise prescription and rehabilitation.
I have provided Physiotherapy at many events such as the Race for Life, MS Big Walk and the London Marathon. This year, I was very honoured to be a part of the London 2012 Olympics experience. I was accepted as a Sports Scientist to work with the Anti Doping Team at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis. I worked closely with the athletes and was based next door to the Sports Doctors, Physio’s and Sports Massage Therapist’s and this is most definitely a highlight in my career so far.
