Biography:
Tony is a clinical specialist in the NHS in Musculoskeletal Medicine and consultant physio for the Jitsu Foundation taking an active role in injury prevention and reduction. With over 12 years’ experience, he offers diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of problems. He is qualified in acupuncture & injection therapy and is a physiotherapy tutor teaching shoulder assessment and treatment to qualified physiotherapists on a regular basis. A keen sportsman with over 20 years experience, Tony is a 5th Dan in Ju-jitsu. He is also a keen cyclist both road and mountain with a land’s End to John O’Groats under his belt as well as addicted to snowboarding. He also understands pain and injury from a personal perspective and has had to rehabilitate from bilateral ACL knee operations and a further knee cartilage operation. Tony passionately believes in clients having an active role in their rehabilitation and has a combined hands on & rehab approach to physio. This is reflected in his personal and professional approach to assessment and treatment. Tony believes in treating the person and not just the injury. Whether you have a simple ankle sprain, a complex spinal disorder, an unstable shoulder, a knee injury, postural problem, or any other disorder, he will tailor make a treatment program personal to you to maximise your care and help you reach your goals.

Biography:
Andy graduated from Manchester University in 2005 and since then has been a Chartered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. After 4 years of working in the NHS in Salford and Bolton, where he gained a large amount of multidisciplinary experience, Andy travelled for 6 months around South America before settling in Wellington, New Zealand. He was in New Zealand for two years playing hockey and working in a Sports Medicine Clinic specialising further in the Sport Injury industry. Since returning home to the UK, Andy has moved to Bristol and has focused his time on undertaking his Master’s Degree on Sports and Exercise Medicine from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Over the past few years Andy has been the Lead Physiotherapist for the British Basketball U20’s Women’s squad and was a Physiotherapist at Gloucester Rugby Club for 3 seasons. Both employers required the latest treatment methods in order to get the athletes back to their highest performance levels therefore Andy uses the most up to date treatments. Previous sports clubs that Andy has worked with include Brooklands Manchester University Hockey Club, BUCS, Oxford University Rugby Football Club. Andy has a passion for learning the latest and best physiotherapy treatment plans. He is qualified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation, Acupuncture, Clinical Pilates, Dynamic Tape Application, joint mobilisations and manipulations. He has also recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Sports and Exercise Medicine and is looking forward to completing the Diploma award next year. Outside work, Andy has played elite level hockey for 15 years playing in the National League in both the UK and New Zealand. He also enjoys playing and watching all sport, cycling, sailing and travelling, when he has the time.
