BENPHYSIO

Shalini has been with BENPHYSIO since 2015. Prior to that, she has been posted to various clinical settings, including chiropractor’s center. She has a keen interest for scoliosis; however, she noticed that the understanding about scoliosis is still very poor among the public and that the management of scoliosis is still uncertain and too general.

Currently, she uses Ben's Approach to explain, assess and manage scoliosis cases more effectively, hoping to help people understand more about scoliosis. Moreover, she is also furthering her studies in physiotherapy to deepen her understanding in the field and also to sharpen her skills and techniques in physiotherapy.

In BENPHYSIO, Shalini serves as one of the key person in Musculoskeletal Discipline, specialised in scoliosis management.

Stephanie graduated with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from Anglia Ruskin University, UK-MAHSA in 2018. She has been exposed to various private and local hospital settings and having hands on multiple discipline area such as cardio-respiratory, musculoskeletal and neurology.

She believes in conducting thorough assessment before to identify the problems faced before proceeding to treatment. As a person who takes her CrossFit practices seriously, she believes in giving her all to help achieve patients goal in recovery.

Baalsimran graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Mahsa University. She has had the benefit of being exposed to a wide variety of clinical settings including Neurology, Musculoskeletal, Geriatrics and Paediatrics at various centres during her time at university.

Baalsimran’s interest in physiotherapy developed over the years, inspired by her experiences of being able to relieve aches and pains of her family members and loved ones with simple massage techniques.It is her firm belief that a patients’ understanding of his/her condition is essential in ensuring their path to wellness is secured. 

She hopes to further deepen her knowledge and understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and continue to make difference in the lives of her patients.

Ying Ying graduates with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from INTI International University in 2019. 

Ying Ying used to participate many events those are related to physiotherapy and started assessing patient during on campus. Other than that, 

Ying Ying had one year of clinical posting in various setting such as THOMSON Hospital, Ampang Hospital, Klinik Kesihatan Senawang and so on.

Ying Ying strongly believe that manual physical therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy delivered with the hands as opposed to a device or machine. Also, It is a very effective set of tools literally at our fingertips. Besides that, 

Ying Ying is 

a committed and caring person with a great passion for helping people of all ages. Her goal is to encourage their development and facilitate recovery and helping them stay independent as much as possible.

Pui Yin graduated with Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy (Hons) from INTI International University, Nilai in 2019. She has been exposed to various private and government hospital settings.

Moreover, she also actively participated in Ultimate Frisbee and hiking. This enabled her to gain a better understanding on the complexity of running biomechanics. This with much interest, knowledge and experienced gained, this led into her passion into musculoskeletal and sport injuries. 

As a strong upholder of manual therapy, she utilizes 100% hands on approach in restoring one’s optimal function and alleviating one’s pain. She is also certified in trigger point dry needling for pain management and sport injury (GEMt).

Pei Shan graduated with Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy from INTI. During her posting, she had been exposed to various clinical condition in government hospital and private physiotherapy center such as Ampang Hospital, HOSHAS, HATTM and nursing home. Besides that, she was active in participating charity event and annual world physiotherapy day. She want to help people as much as she can.

She has great interest in musculoskeletal and neurological clinical conditions and is working harder to become a more skillful and knowledgeable physiotherapist. She is passionate about her job as she is helping people every day.

She believed that manual therapy and exercises together work better to help patient to recover.

Besides that, she believed patient education plays an important role in rehabilitation. Physiotherapist need to make sure patient understand what's wrong with their body and what to do to prevent it.

Alfonsa obtained her BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from INTI International University. Prior to completion of her study, she was exposed to musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurological, Pediatric, and geriatric rehabilitation in various hospitals and centres in both private and government settings such as Hospital Temerloh, Ampang Hospital, Document Based Centre (DBC), Klinik Kesihatan Seremban 2, Hospital angkatan tentera tunku mizan, and mercy nursing home. She is also a certified dry needling practitioner.

Alfonsa chose to be a physiotherapist because she was intrigued by the idea of helping someone get back on their feet after an injury or an unfortunate incident. Thus, there is no surprise that Alfonsa has a special interest in geriatric and neurological rehabilitation as she thinks these populations are the ones who can benefit most from physiotherapy. She is also passionate about educating the community that they can still live a normal life despite their injuries or illnesses!

Chian graduated with BSc. (Hons) in Physiotherapy from INTI International University in 2019. She had been exposed to various clinical placement in nursing home, government and private hospital settings. She is also a certificated dry needling practitioner (GEMt).

Chian‘s interests lie in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation. This is because she thinks that musculoskeletal and sports injuries are very common and disabling. Besides that, her passion in outdoor activities and various sports is also one of the reasons why she has a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation.

Kenn graduated with Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. He has been posted to various government and private hospitals, physio centres, as well as nursing homes. He developed his interest in physiotherapy after seeing how physiotherapy can help and ultimately guide a patient’s road to recovery. 

Kenn is interested in neurology, musculoskeletal and men’s health. He wishes to be able to change the mindset of the community that stroke is not the end to the journey in life, and even though men rarely talk about their sexual health, that does not mean that it is non-existent. 

Kenn is always eager to learn, trying to gain more skills and techniques, and strives to provide the best treatment catered to your road to recovery.

Shu Huey graduated with Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy (Hons) from UTAR. She has been to various government and private hospitals/centre and national sport institute for clinical placements. Through her experiences in various corporate and sport events for physiotherapy services, she realized that many people are not aware of their faulty posture and body mechanics which leads them to injury.

As an outdoor activities and fitness enthusiastic, she is passionate about educating and helping the community to be pain-free in their journey of fitness and activities. She believed that manual therapy and proper techniques of exercises are the most effective way to optimize patients’ recovery.

Ooi Sze Ting is a certified physiotherapist who has complete Bsc (Hons) of Physiotherapy in UTAR. She has been posted to various clinical settings. 

Her enthusiasm in sport injures has lead her to believe that manual therapy and active rehabilitation helps to relieve pain and restore muscle-joint function. 

Her passion and years of participation in various on-field sport events has inspired her to perceive the importance of munual therapy and neuromuscular strengthening exercises in daily life. 

As a physiotherapist who is drifted in manual therapy and strength & conditioning, she believes that Bens approach can make a change.​
