Shalini has been with BENPHYSIO since 2015. Prior to that, she has been posted to various clinical settings, including chiropractor’s center. She has a keen interest for scoliosis; however, she noticed that the understanding about scoliosis is still very poor among the public and that the management of scoliosis is still uncertain and too general.

Currently, she uses Ben's Approach to explain, assess and manage scoliosis cases more effectively, hoping to help people understand more about scoliosis. Moreover, she is also furthering her studies in physiotherapy to deepen her understanding in the field and also to sharpen her skills and techniques in physiotherapy.

Alfonsa obtained her BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from INTI International University. Prior to completion of her study, she was exposed to musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurological, Pediatric, and geriatric rehabilitation in various hospitals and centres in both private and government settings such as Hospital Temerloh, Ampang Hospital, Document Based Centre (DBC), Klinik Kesihatan Seremban 2, Hospital angkatan tentera tunku mizan, and mercy nursing home. Alfonsa chose to be a physiotherapist because she was intrigued by the idea of helping someone get back on their feet after an injury or an unfortunate incident.
