About Foley's Physio

Welcome to Foley's Physio

Foley's Physio is a private physiotherapy clinic run by Robert Foley.

Robert is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. Robert graduated in 2009  with an hons degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and has a previous hons degree in Sports Science and Health from Dublin City University.

Robert has treated a wide variety of patient types and has worked in a number of different settings including acute hospital, rehabilitation, aged care and private practice. Robert has been working in private practice since 2009, he also spent 2 years working in the National Rehab Hospital in Dun Laoghaire where he was involved in the brain injury, spinal injury and amputee programmes. Robert also spent 6 months working in a large aged care facility in Australia.

Robert treats all types of patients but specialises in sports injuries and other musculoskeletal issues.

Robert has a background in tennis. He has played since he was 6 years old and represented his school, province and country as a junior. He has also been involved with the junior national squad as a coach and physical trainer.

Dry needling is an adjunct treatment that is not usually done in isolation. An acupuncture needle is used to break up painful trigger points or "knots" that may causes pain locally or refer somewhere else on the body. Robert is the owner of the clinic. Robert received his an hons degree in Physiotherapy in 2009 from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. This means he has been exposed to a wide variety of patients and has worked in a wide variety of settings. Robert also has an extensive sporting background. he has played tennis since he was 6 years old and has represented his school, college, province and country as a junior. Biography:

Stephen trained as a Physiotherapist at The Royal College of Surgeons Dublin. During his training he worked in several large hospitals across the country treating a wide variety of different patients and conditions. He completed a specialised placement in The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital in Dublin assessing and treating patients with dizziness secondary to vestibular conditions. He graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons Dublin with a first class honours degree placing second in his class, also achieving a clinical distinction.  

Stephen is a Chartered Physiotherapist who specialises in the management of vestibular disorders. He treat patients complaining of dizziness due to conditions such as BPPV, vestibular migraine, post concussion, vestibular hypofunction, post labyrinthitis, and balance related disorders.

Before commencing his training as a physiotherapist, Stephen trained as a professional actor at the Samuel Beckett Centre Trinity College. He worked as a professional actor and dancer on several productions with The National Theatre and has performed with a variety of Irish theatre and dance companies. It is for this reason he has a special interest in dance and performance related injuries and conditions. He treats a variety of sports and musculoskeletal injuries and hopes to undertake a research masters in Dance physiotherapy shortly.

Since graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons, Stephen has worked in several private practices in the Dublin and Kildare area. He is currently working as a neuro-rehabilitation physiotherapist in Beaumont Hospital. He is well practiced in Sports Taping so if you or your sports team require a physiotherapist for match day or training, please do not hesitate to contact him.
