Very helpful advice and instruction

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I went with tension in my shoulders and neck to get advice on posture improvement techniques and a few questions about a shoulder injury from swimming.

Very helpful advice and instruction. Neck and shoulder massage was also excellent. Would definitely return.

This has given me confidence

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation • Paid: €90

I had three years of painful movement in upper arm and shoulder, partly due to the side effects of medication.
One appointment has produced a considerable improvement. Message, exercises and some helpful insights into lifestyle continue to help this improvement.

I chose Seapoint because it is a one person practice; seemed to have the speciality I sought and was well reviewed. Sinead inspires confidence; I found her to be perceptive and took the necessary time to address the issues I had.

Ankle Injury Treatment

Biomechanical assessment

Physiotherapists are trained to spot imbalances in the physical body which can lead to injury. A thorough assessment will highlight weaknesses and a specific treatment plan/exercise programme will be outlined to correct these imbalances and prevent future injury.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is very common in pregnancy although it can also occur as a repetitive strain injury for example in office workers. We will assess the injury and determine whether you need night splints, manual therapy, a home exercise programme or all of the above.

Chronic Pain Syndrome

Chronic pain is an immensely complex condition which needs a multidimensional treatment approach. We have a special interest in chronic pain and use yoga therapy and craniosacral therapy along with traditional physiotherapy to reduce overactivity in the nervous system. We will also refer you to nutritional therapy, pain specialists or counselling if we feel that these professionals can add to your overall healing experience.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a great way to quickly reduce tension in specific muscles. Fantastic for sports injuries but also for those tight sore shoulders that result from stress or desk work.

Exercise Therapy

One of the key roles of the physiotherapist is to get people moving, safely and effectively. All of our exercises are prescribed in a very specific manner, depending on a detailed assessment of your body and your condition. Expect a mixture of physiotherapy corrective exercises, yoga and pilates.

Knee Rehabilitation

Most knee problems are secondary to either issues at the hip or the foot. Therefore we will assess everything from the pelvis down if you present with a knee issue. We will work out an appropriate exercise programme to balance hips and feet and strengthen the knees, perhaps prescribe orthotics to align the feet and provide manual therapy if there are tight muscular structures preventing optimal movement.

Orthotics can be immensely useful when appropriately prescribed. Many people can manage their problem through strengthening exercises and correction of problems at the pelvis. On the other hand lots of people get incredible relief from pain as soon as an orthotic is inserted. We can assess and prescribe from a wide range of orthotics depending on your needs and your budget.

We guarantee a highly individualized approach resulting from and indepth and thorough assessment on your first visit. We also incorporate yoga and craniosacral therapy where appropriate. This applies particularly to conditions such as chronic pain and whiplash where the muscular and nervous systems tend to highly sensitized. We also use many traditional physiotherapy techniques including dry needling and myofascial release.
