Rating from 4 Reviews I've been given clear week by week rehab work and targetsEamon, Ireland, 14 Mar 18

Highly recommended. I have received excellent treatment with Conor for my plantar fasciitis (tear) injury. Since my first appointment, I've been given clear week by week rehab work and targets which have resulted in me returning to play (in time for my team's first competitive outing of the season) and have allowed me to return in good condition also. Before this I had been going to different physios, receiving different feedback with none really having a confident POA for me. For such a tricky injury that had been persisting for a long time, from the first appointment all of my questions have been clearly answered and a step by step plan was prepared. Whereby if I put in the work and hit the targets, the improvement was clear and I moved on to the next stop the following week. My treatment is not complete but I'm very confident as long as I continue to follow Conor's advice the injury will not reoccur.

Rating from 6 Reviews No gain without painValerie, Ireland, 01 Jun 17

I had a deep tissue massage. They say no gain without pain and certainly, I felt pain. However 6 hours later I have absolutely no pain in my back. Really good. On completion, the receptionist offered a 20%discount off a future treatment for which advance payment was needed. I told her I wanted to see if the treatment worked prior to booking further appointments. This is a once only offer b 4 leaving.???? Surely a discount when one establishes that it has worked and a client wants to return would make better sense.

Pilates Claases Really happy with the results I have gotten since I started with Arianna. She is very attentive and knows what is best for her students.

Pilates R 243 - R 1376
Classes at Focus Pilates offer designed and tailored body exercises that involve the use of props which aim to rehabilitate, relieve back pain, correct bad posture and body imbalances, improve stamina and general body strenght, improve body awarness, give flexibility and coordination and build balance and stability by focusing and working around the pelvic area. Classes are creative and challenging, students (beginners to advanced) are helped to fully understand each movement, its purpose, and the body areas involved. Particular attention is given to the correct use of breathing which facilitates the execution of the exercises, helps concentration and overall allows better coordination during class. A lot of emphasis is placed on the fluidity and the control of the movements and on maintaining a healthy posture throughout the class for a de-stressing full hour workout. A deep stretching of the whole body is added throughout the class helping to promote longevity of your joints and muscles and helping to maintain a leaner but strong appearance.

Rating from 2 Reviews Couldn't recommend higher!Jonathan, Ireland, 12 Dec 16

I had an initial assessment which Gary gave me a clear diagnosis of my injuries and what was causing it. We then made a plan based on my goals (running and tennis) and a timeline to full recovery. Gary did some treatment which consisted of hands on work showing me how to move better and which muscles to use and how, I was shown some strengthening exercises and he used some dry-needling, it's a bit like acupuncture, which I wasn't too excited about but it did relieve my symptoms. He taped my knee and foot which felt weird but it did change the way I walked almost immediately. I returned for three further sessions which were more of the same with more exercises. It was never very difficult but I always felt I had done something. I run and play tennis and I'd been putting off going to a physio for months until the pain in my shoulder and knee got too much. I saw Gary, one of the physios in the clinic and he had me back running and playing tennis pain-free after 4 sessions. I didn't realise I was doing myself harm by moving in certain way and being a bit weak in a few areas. Gary changed how I moved my shoulder and gave me a few exercises and I can honestly say I haven't had any pain since. I still do a few exercises for maintenance which I think I'll keep up. Couldn't recommend higher!

SOMAdublin - Somatic Movement Education in Dublin City Centre

SOMAdublin

12 Brunswick Place, Dublin, 2
Somatic Movement Class / Somatic Exercise Class In a Somatic Exercise Class, you will learn a series of self-care movements to release tight muscles on the front, back and sides of your body. The overall goal is to become more aware of habitual muscle tensions in order to release them (and get rid of them ). The movement sequences are practiced in a slow manner to allow the brain to ‘catch up’ again, always within your individual comfortable range of motion and never pushing into pain. You are retraining your brain to send the correct information to the muscles (relax or contract) to allow for full control and good muscle function. For a one to one class, I will design a series of exercises specifically tailored to your needs. Every client is unique, so we will find the perfect variation of a movement that suits you. In a group class, I will teach with a more general approach while adjusting to each clients profile if possible. Ideally, you start with some Clinical sessions and continue to refine your movement with Somatic Exercise classes. I have trained as a Somatic Exercise Coach under Martha Peterson (Essential Somatics) beginning of 2014 to teach Somatic Movement classes. Clinical Somatic Education Clinical Somatic Education is a powerful one-to-one application of Somatic Education. Done on a wide and low table, the practitioner guides movement and uses different techniques to release stiff muscles and encourage smooth, unrestricted move
Pilates R 971 - R 1052
Pilates can be booked as an add-on after a series of Somatic Movement sessions.
Posture Management R 971 - R 1052
Clinical Somatic Education R 1052 - R 1295
Clinical Somatic Education is a powerful one-to-one application of Somatic Education. Done on a wide and low table, the practitioner guides movement and uses different techniques to release stiff muscles and encourage smooth, unrestricted movement. The range of motion is always in your control, and we never push through painful movements. We do not manipulate, but educate, so the pain is not coming back after a few weeks – given you do your daily 5-30min home practice. Taking responsibility for your body is essential to refine your sensory-motor control and keep you pain free. Ideally, you’ll only need between 3-6 sessions, and then continue with the self-care exercises, which you can do on your own without getting dependent on regular sessions to ‘fix’ you. Gain freedom and control again!
