Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist BASc (Physio), MASc (Sports Physio), Grad Dip Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, APA Accredited Pilates Instructor, APA Accredited Acupuncturist jason-180.jpgJason is the principal physiotherapist at Mead Physio Group with over 20 years experience in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He has been a team physio for Olympic Basketball and Volleyball teams, the Adelaide Football Club (The Crows), and Commonwealth Games athletes. Jason holds Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) accreditations in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates and Acupuncture and is highly regarded in his field. He regularly lectures to doctors on the GP Training Program and he has been a guest lecturer to universities throughout Australia. His area of special interest is chronic pain management and spinal manipulation. With his wife Wendy, they have two daughters, Evie and Ruby. Jason enjoys swimming, riding, sail-boarding and overseas trekking.

Gemma qualified as a physiotherapist from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2004 having previously completed a degree in Sports Science at Coventry University. As a keen sports person herself, Gemma worked closely with many County and provincial teams. Gemma came to Perth in 2012 to complete her Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy at Curtin University where she graduated with distinction & has since been working happily at Mead Physiotherapy Group. Her areas of interest include spinal and chronic pain. Outside of Physiotherapy, Gemma has represented Dublin in ladies Gaelic football & Camogie & had the opportunity to represent WA in Gaelic football in the Australasian games in 2012 where she won ‘Best & Fairest’ for the WA state team. She is a qualified ski instructor, has completed two marathons and enjoys live music and festivals.

Mr Nigel Travers

Biography:
Nigel is a graduate of the Royal College of surgeons in Ireland and completed his postgraduate Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2012. He has a keen interest in chronic pain and sports injuries and has worked extensively within rugby union and athletics both in Ireland and Australia. Nigel is himself a high level athlete completing many triathlons and being a member of the hugely successful Curtin University Rugby Club.
