Back & Neck Richmond Physiotherapy specialises in  backand  neckpain and their consquences, such as sciatica or other referred symptoms – headaches, arm pain, pins and needles/numbness, etc. Often musculoskeletal problems, seemingly unrelated to the neck or back, and manifesting in the shoulder for example, or elsewhere in the periphery of the body, are in fact referred from the spine. There's a right treatment for disc related problems and a right treatment for spinal joint problems: These include: mobilisation, manipulation, traction (spinal decompression therapy) postural re-education, advice on activities of daily living, ergonomics, corrective taping techniques and exercise rehabilitation. Naturally conditions that are unrelated to the back and neck are also treated. Sprains and strains, including sprained ankles, often quite debilitating and lengthy in their healing, patella tracking problems, RSI, post-fracture rehabilitation, hand injuries, clicking jaw (TMJ), fallen arches of the feet, and many more are treated at the Richmond Physiotherapy Backs & Necks. 

I completed a Masters of Physiotherapy at Curtin University in early 2009, having previously studied a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science at Monash University.  After working in a large hospital in Perth, I returned to Melbourne in 2010 and have been working in private practice since. My belief in Clinical Pilates to improve posture, strength and flexibility has led me to be an educator of APPI Pilates in Australia since 2012..  You can read more about APPI Pilates teacher training by clicking through to the Unite Health website. In 2015 I completed a Masters of Manual Therapy at the University of Western Australia, which has refined my assessment and diagnosis skills, ensuring a more efficient and effective treatment for clients.  This postgraduate qualification has allowed me to become an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. In addition to these qualifications, I have completed a number of courses including Dry Needling (Level 1 & 2), Treatment of the Lumbar Spine and Pelvis (Level 1 & 2 ) and Mulligan Upper Quadrant.  I am providing Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates services from the beautiful Unite Health Studio in Prahran on a Monday and Wednesday.
