Imogen Hemingway

Biography:
She uses both the basic structural approach to Osteopathy, as well as Cranio-Sacral Therapy, which can be used safely on new born babies and on some people for whom basic osteopathy is not suitable. Imogen has two young daughters, and this in part has lead to her expertise in more specialist and alternative forms of Osteopathy.

Imogen is passionate about Osteopathy, and considers herself very fortunate to work in a job that she loves. Her special interests include the Osteopathic treatment of babies and children, as well as women during pregnancy.

Imogen also has a commitment to the treatment of rugby players/sports players and is heavily involved in supporting a local rugby club ensuring the availability of treatment for young players. Imogen also continues to enjoy treating dogs. At present there is much demand for the treatment of dogs, especially those involved in agility work.

Training and Experience:

Imogen trained for four years at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent and qualified in 1986. For one year she worked in an Osteopathic clinic close to home and then had an opportunity to move to Nottinghamshire and set up in practice.

She bought a house in Eastwood in July 1987 and began running Maple House Clinic in August 1987. initially she worked alone but soon became busy enough to justify taking on another Osteopath.

In 2000 Imogen decided that she wanted to further expand her work with babies, children and pregnant mothers. She enrolled with the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London, gaining a Specialist Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy . Within the course there was some rewarding work within a hospital on a neonatal intensive care unit. This work was exhausting but very rewarding.

Rebecca Emerton

Biography:
She became interested in Osteopathy while studying sports therapy. She has a great interest in sports and treating sports injuries. Sports therapy was of particular interest to her, and she was pointed to Osteopathy through a lecturer.

She has always had an interest in Osteopathy and sports care, and has also studied core stability techniques.

Since having children, she has become particularly interested in children and treating during pregnancy due to the specialist care they require.

Training and Experience:

Rebecca worked as a sports therapist in an Osteopathic Clinic as well as a health farm in Bedfordshire. She studied at Oxford School of Osteopathy, gaining a BSc(Hons). From there she began practicing osteopathy.

She started her own clinic for a year in a leisure centre, treating the clients and furthering her experience in sports treatments. In 1999 she joined Maple House Clinic and has practiced and studied here since then. Since having children, she has furthered studied by doing several courses in treating during pregnancy. She is greatly experienced in osteopathy and treats a wide variety of different patients from teenagers to elderly & sporting to sedentary.

Nicholas Lintott

Biography:
He initially became interested after his partner suggested a course in Leamington, and since then he has studied and developed a great interest in various forms of complementary medicine, from Transcendental Meditation to Reiki.

Nicholas has always been interested in Chinese and complementary medicine in general, and has studied around his subject in addition to his work. He occasionally assists the clinic by using his other specialities, such as Reiki.

He has also taught and practices Transcendental Meditation, and he feels that his interest in Chinese and complementary medicine gives him a excellently rounded approach to his acupuncture.

Training and Experience:

Nicholas started his training in 1981 at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa. He then furthered his interest in Chinese Medicine studying at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine at Reading. Finishing his studies with a Lic.Ac and a M.B.Ac.C in 1984 he has practiced privately since then.
