About Southport Osteopathy

Southport Physical Therapy was established in 1998 and has grown to become Southport’s primary provider of manual health care. In addition to physiopathy by our qualified physios the practice offers patients a wide range of healthcare treatments carried out by highly qualified practitioners. We are about holistic healthcare and we offer a complement of treatments and therapies including sports massage by our trainee physiotherapist, chiropody, acupuncture and TCM, medical herbs, counselling, Sports rehabilitation and Pilates.

We have had to adapt our regimes due to a covid protocol so have a reduced treatment service with cleaning in-between patients and no longer have a waiting room or receptionists. Please see our page for new patients for more information.

All of our practitioners are qualified to degree standard or equivalent and we have 3 osteopaths and a physiotherapist working over the six days. We are open 6 days a week and offer full disabled access with ample on and off road parking. We are situated on the corner of Manning Road and Hawkeshead Street opposite Lathoms the Bakers.

It was quite intense but the Osteopath obviously knows what he's doing

5 50 Osteopath Consultation • Paid: £45

I saw Simon today who asked lots of questions then manipulated my neck. It was quite intense but Simon obviously knows what he's doing. I felt better for discovering cause of sore neck, arm etc and that it was treatable. I can now move my neck a bit better than before and have booked another session for next week.

Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation

Clinical Pilates

With 10 years experience in Sports Rehabilitation, Sarah can provide safe and effective Pilates exercises to clients whatever their needs.

Clinical Pilates allows for all poses to be modified to suit you. Everyone is different, joint movement can vary and muscle length will change from person to person so it is unreasonable to expect everyone to do the same exercise all the time. Sarah will show you the most appropriate version of the exercise for your needs.

Sports Rehabilitation

Sarah is a graduate Sports Rehabilitator and specialises in musculoskeletal conditions and uses this to her advantage when delivering Pilates classes.

Calm Your Mind

Pilates not only helps improve your body, but also helps with mindfulness, relaxation and focus. It is important to take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body.

Sarah Hall is a Clinical Pilates Instructor and Sports Rehabilitator, she has been working in private practice for 10 years. Sarah graduated from the University of Salford in 2009 and since then has worked in private practice. During her career she has worked at numerous sporting events, has developed close links with a local Orthopeadic Consultant and won awards at the 2011 and 2012 Sefton Business Awards. During 2011 Sarah and some local doctors worked on a study about investigation into low back pain, she was asked to present this as a poster presentation in Denmark. A lot of Sarah's early years working was spent specialising and concentrating on low back pain, this is when she started to look more closely at the role of Pilates. Sarah started her training with the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) in 2013 and since then has offered clinical Pilates classes in Southport.
