Teri Turner

Teri graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1998 having studying for four years for her degree in osteopathy. She has successfully worked from her first practice at the Slade, Plumstead Common since 2000.

After qualifying Teri returned to the BSO as part of the faculty teaching undergraduate students, during this time shestudied for a post graduate teaching qualification at the University of Bedfordshire. She returns yearly to The BSO as part of the examination team

Being passionate about her professional development, Teri has attended numerous courses to broaden her knowledge. She has further studied osteopathy at the Sutherland Cranial College and has undertaken a postgraduate qualification in medical acupuncture.

Teri has trained in ergonomic assessment, which when coupled with her training in biomechanics and musculoskeletal conditions gives a unique approach in this field – offering onsite advice and reports to local businesses for injury prevention.

Teri has always had a keen interest in exercise rehabilitation and it is at the core of her approach to patient management, often recognising this to be the missing link to full recovery. To further her knowledge in this area,Teri is currently studying for MSc Functional Rehabilitation at the University of Hertfordshire.

Her experience androunded approach allows her to treat a broad spectrum of conditions and patients, from babies to sports enthusiasts and her training allows for her to draw from a pool of techniques.

Paul Fiander

Paul trained for his BSc Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy and qualified in 2005 after completing his first degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition at the University of Greenwich. He has since worked successfully combining the two achievingeffective results with his patients.

Paul’s keen interest and focus on exercise and sports injuries has lead him to further his knowledge in and around this area and he has trained in the use of kinesiology tape, allowing him to support sports participants of all levels through injury and training. To further enrich his holistic approach to patient care, Paul has also completed courses in ergonomics.

His philosophy of treatment is underpinned by patient education, thus encouraging an understanding of the causes of their problem and to give appropriate advice and support so they are not repeating the same processes.

Paul has experience in treating patients of all ages and as a young father has a keen interest in paediatric (or junior) osteopathy, focussing on sports injuries. He is keen to embark on setting up a paediatric sports injury clinic in the future helping us to continue our care of the growing talent of young sportsmen and women in the local area.
