About Lincoln Osteopaths

Lincoln and Collingham in Lincolnshire are the locations of the clinics run by this osteopathy partnership. Biography:
He has now completed 40 years in Osteopathic practice! In addition to his commitment to West Parade Osteopaths, Stephen has an extensive academic career. He is professor of osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy in London where he has taught since 1978. The BSO is the oldest and largest school of osteopathy in Europe, with more than 400 students. Stephen’s appointment as professor was the first University appointment in the UK. He is currently course leader for the professional doctorate in Osteopathy at the BSO. Since 2011 he has been a professor at Campus Kristiania university in Oslo. He is also involved in lecturing and teaching Worldwide. He has been in practice for 39 years, and has extensive experience, particularly with the treatment of children. He completed his PhD in the philosophy of health care in 2001. He Usually Tuesday and Thursday though these vary sometimes as a result of teaching commitments. He qualified in 1983 and taught undergraduates at the BSO as a senior lecturer from 1988 until 2009. In 1998 he published a major textbook on osteopathic diagnosis, aimed at both graduates and student osteopaths, which has been well received by the profession. He also taught students about aspects of osteopathic care of patients with heart, circulation, lung and endocrine problems. In 1996 he was invited to work as a private practitioner at Collingham Medical Centre, expanding the therapeutic options available there. Since 2006 he has also had a contract with the NHS, enabling him to provide osteopathic treatment to sufferers of low back pain funded by the NHS, a service which has grown steadily. He has a special interest in the care of patients with respiratory problems, and also those with chronic pain, especially chronic spinal pain. He has a special interest in the care of patients with respiratory problems, and also those with ear, nose and throat problems, especially sinusitis.

She qualified from the British school of Osteopathy in 1996 and has worked in Lincolnshire since, with a year out, working as an osteopath in Christchurch New Zealand in 1998.
