About The Buckingham Clinic - Glasgow

Buckingham Clinic has operated in Glasgow since 1935 and is a multidisciplinary clinic.  The principal practitioner is James Sneddon, Registered Osteopath.   Our staff are all highly qualified practitioners offering patients the best of traditional Osteopathy and Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy mixed with new innovative highly technical equipment  to get the best results for our patients.

One such example of this is IDD Therapy (Intervertebral Differential Dynamics) This involves a full rehabilitation approach to degenerative spine disease, whiplash, sciatica & chronic back pain.  It uses negative pressure to isolate each vertebra and deliver pain relief. (computerised targeted traction) Treatments last approx 30 minutes (allow an hour) and patients typically undergo a protocol of 20 treatments over 6 to 8 week period - it's not a quick fix but it is patient friendly and outcomes thus far have exceeded our expectations, delivering an 86% success rate in over 2000 patients.

We also offer Osteopathic care and Physiotherapy as stand alone treatments.   Thai Therapy, Colonic Irrigation, Myo-fascial Massage, Sports Massage, MedX Core Stability sessions one-2-one training sessions, Acupuncture and Bowen Therapy.

Not only do our Nurses offer Colonic Irrigation, now known as Colon Hydrotherapy – they are both nurse prescribers and can offer help for those suffering from IBS, migraine, eczema, constipation,halitosis..etc,etc.  They also offer Aesthetic Treatment for lines and wrinkles and facial rejuvenation.

Our Physiotherapists and Sports therapists offer remedial or myo-fascial- massage which are extremely popular, especially for clients wishing to remain in peak fitness, or for those who are recovering from injury.   Practitioners using this technique they stretch restricted fascia tissue by applying a specified force to an area of the body causing aches & pains, the myofascial release seeks to look for changes in the myofascial structures by stretching and elongating the these tissues, or mobilising adhesive soft tissue,  your practitioner moves through the layers of the fascia until the deeper tissues are reached.  Normally patients attend on a weekly basis until feeling better then opt to take a once a month session to keep healthy.

We take great pride in our patients care, always trying to help those in pain , however if we feel we are not the right people to take care of you, we will happily refer you to someone we feel will be best placed to look after you, or give you the information about the various options available.

"Immediate appointment was very welcome"

Treatment Received: Physiotherapist Consultation
I have only had consultation so far as Mr Sneddon wants result of MRI scan before deciding which treatment would be best for me. Scan has been arranged for Tuesday 23 rd Feb & results available few days later

My experience so far of clinic has been very positive. Immediate appointment was very welcome as my problem has been on going for many years now. Staff were all very welcoming & professional. I chose clinic from online although I have had glowing reports of Mr Sneddon over the years from an old friend who was a previous patient. I have tried different therapies at other clinics including NHS over last few years to no avail & am hopeful that this time something may be done to at least reduce pain.

"No price for health"

Treatment Received: Acupuncture Treatment
full consultation,manipulation massage, acupuncture,electrical machine

I'm "back" for treatment after 2 years. The first time I went was after 5 months on NHS physio and medicated with diclaphenic with very little benefit-amazing treatment from Mr.Sneddon. Injured myself again-work related-feel so much better after just one visit-this time I skipped the GP, O/T and physio-go with what you know-no price for health and I'm working class!
