Dr Daniel Nelson

Biography:
He qualified at the British School of Osteopathy in 1991. The training at the BSO was a rigorous 4 year full time course at the end of which he was awarded a Diploma in Osteopathy or DO which is the most traditional osteopathic qualification. More recently this has become a BSc (Hons) Ost. After graduating he worked at the Osteopathic Centre for Children where he gained an understanding of the osteopathic approach to treating babies and children. He also worked in other more general osteopathic practices in central London until re-locating his private practice to Winchester in 1998. He continues to work part-time in London as part of the Primary Care Team at Nunhead NHS Surgery. He continues to do a wide variety of post graduate training courses. He has an interest in treating the whole family from babies and children to those in more mature years. Daniel is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the British Osteopathic Association. As a former rugby and judo player he was fascinated by the musculo-skeletal system and injury healing through manual therapy (osteopathy) and exercises (specific exercises or things like yoga and pilates). His continued interest and enjoyment in running has helped to perpetuate that interest.
