Miss Elaine Elkington

Biography:
She has been a Registered Osteopath since 2000 after training with The European School of Osteopathy, Maidstone. In this same year I undertook post-graduate training in London with the Sutherland Cranial College. With osteopathy practices in Bethnal Green, East London, Primrose hill, Camden and Southsea, Portsmouth, She offer treatment for all the family, including babies and toddlers. She treat all ages from the very young to the very old! My youngest patient to date is 2 days old and my oldest was 95 years old. She have been qualified as an Osteopath for over 13 years and I work using both cranial technique and conventional osteopathy. She enjoy treating children and teenagers although don't get this opportunity as much as she'd like as she believe most parents don't think of an Osteopath as someone who treats or can help children. She treat children with minor injuries such as a knee strain from dancing and teenagers for problems such as sport related injuries and head or neck pain. She have also treated younger children for less obvious things such as being fidgety; easily distracted; lacking co-ordination in gross movements; being off-colour for a few days for no apparent reason. Children mostly have good vitality and usually respond well to treatment. Patients sometimes ask why she have a practice in Portsmouth as well as London. This is because she have an elderly mother there who she able to help by being close to hand. Family is important to her and being able to be involved in the care of her elderly father at the end of his life was something very special.
