Feel amazing afterwards

5 50

Well having had 2 treatments now I can truly say both have been extremely beneficial. Firstly colonic and secondly a naturopathic consulaltation. So onwards and upwards!
Hamish makes you feel at ease and comfortable and some treatments are pretty intrusive! But that said, you'll be made to feel calm and very relaxed and what's more feel amazing afterwards! I'd highly recommend this clinic.

Thank you!

3.5 50 Osteopath Consultation

Some gentle manipulation of my long since contracted and some overstretched muscles, Mild exercise and vitamin supplement advice. This treatment is for my very long term chronic pain in most of my body which about 15 years ago was diagnosed as Fibro Myalgia

Very calm and relaxed environment. At first I did not act on the supplement advice, but gave in in the end on the grounds I paid Hamish for the advice therefore I should give it a go. After approximately two weeks of taking the supplements, but still doing the exercises as well, my overall pain level is much reduced and I now have more better days than bad ones. Thank you so far Hamish

Thank you, a new ray of light in my life. Here's to better mental health and overall well being

4.5 50 Holistic Health Consultation

The initial consultation was very thorough and informative. I was quite surprised by how simple my first set of changes were. So I implemented the advice Hamish had given and straight away started getting positive results. My energy levels improved very quickly and my confidence has started to climb as well. I became so excited about my second appointment that I arrived an hour early at the clinic! The day after and I am already implementing the advice and loving every minute. Thank you, a new ray of light in my life. Here's to better mental health and overall well being.

A friend recommended this clinic to me. As it's an hour's drive from where I live I did give it serious consideration before committing. As a Cornish woman it has to be a very entising carrot to get me over the Tamar. On arriving I was greeted with a warm cosy waiting room with drinks made available. Hamish soon introduced himself and I was put at ease straight away. I came away feeling very optimistic and excited for the future. Thank goodness I made the committment. I can't recommend this experience highly enough. There's work involved but it's worth every effort.

5 50 Osteopath Consultation

I've been seeing Hamish for both osteopathy and naturopathy for the last year and he has worked wonders. It's been a long journey but I had spent a long time being unwell and I feel that I'm now on the path to long term good health and fitness.

Hamish is very approachable, professional, and clearly is passionate about what he does. It's great to receive treatment from someone who remains up to date as his fields of practice progress and evolve. I would thoroughly recommend the clinic.

I thoroughly recommend treatment from Hamish

4.5 50 Osteopath Consultation, Diet and Nutrition Advice

I see Hamish for my nutrition, and today for osteopathic manipulation also. The nutritional help he has given me has enabled me, for the first time since my diagnosis of M.S., over 30 years now, to eat foods that are physically helping me, and I feel and am told, are helping with my mood. I have today, also received osteopathic treatment from Hamish and have not felt this good physically, since I was last able to walk with no crutches!

I first went to see Hamish after some persuasion from my wife and friends and thought the clinic, from first attendance to be highly professional, though very welcoming. Although I thoroughly recommend treatment from Hamish, I don't want his caseload to get much bigger, so that I can see him regularly as much as I need.

Osteopath Consultation

Naturopathy, Osteopath Consultation

Having struggled with my health for many years and seen numerous practitioners both in the UK and abroad, it was not until I was told to go and see Hamish that I started to make progress. He empowers the individual to make informative decisions about their health by giving them advice and knowledge to help them to look at the bigger picture of what is happening in the body and the causes.

Hamish is both a Naturopath and an Osteopath and I have been under his consultation for both and have made good progress in these areas. I would recommend anybody who is struggling with health issues to seek his advice.
I was recommended by a friend myself to see Hamish. The clinic is very relaxed and your appointment is never rushed and you are made to feel at ease and are valued as a client.

My skin has never looked better

5 50 Rosacea Treatment

I have been suffering from an inflammatory skin condition (rosacea) for nearly 40 years. The symptoms were pretty typical with reddening/flushing, papules and pustules, extreme senstivity and patches of dry and flaking skin - not a good look. Unfortunately the medical profession are divided on the cause of this condition and many theories are put forward therefore treatment is difficult. The effect upon my life was profound and I suffered very low self esteem and recurring bouts of depression. I followed the traditional course of treatment of antibiotics (oral and topical) and a gentle skin care routine. I had periods of remission but lots of flare ups. My immune system was absolutely wrecked from the over use of antibiotics and they didn't work any longer. I had a particularly bad flare up that I just couldn't get under control and started looking for other ways that might help. I came across an article in a magazine by a well known celebrity who suffered from the same condition which had been effectively cured by taking the naturopathic route so I began my research. I realised that the internet whilst incredibly helpful, left me very confused as to how I should approach such a course of treatment and realised I needed a professional who could explain it all to me and put me on the right path. I found Hamish and made an appointment. I was given advice about eating and drinking; advised to take fish oils, vitamin D and digestive enzymes. I was already taking primrose oil, probiotics and and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar each morning which I continued with. I have recently been prescribed a course of zinc because I was found to be deficient in that area. I was given advice about nutrition exercise, sleep pattern and managing stress. Within a very short space of time - a few weeks at most - I noticed a gradual improvement. The spots became fewer, the redness subsided and the flushing rarely happens any more. As time went on the improvement continued and I can say with confidence that my skin has never looked better and I would go so far as to say it now looks normal. I sincerely wish I had found this method of treatment many many years ago and would highly recommend this approach to anyone suffering from such conditions - it has literally saved my life.

I chose Hamish's clinic because I liked the website and the reviews it contained and also because it was situated in the locality where I lived. The clinic has a professional yet homely and welcoming feel about it which I liked very much. I even spotted courgettes and herbs growing in the courtyard which made me smile. I found Hamish to be awe inspiring - his knowledge and energy lifted my spirits enormously and I knew he could help me. He took the time to listen to me, to explain how and why the body reacts as it does and how a naturopathic and holistic approach was the way forward. I cannot rate my experience and outcomes highly enough.

I have seen a dramatic improvement in pain levels

5 50 Allergy Specialist Consultation, Dietician Consultation, Osteopath Consultation • Paid: £40

I sought treatment at the Plymouth Naturopathic clinic to help with chronic lower back pain, constant tiredness and IBS and have been receiving treatment since March 2014. My symptoms were such that I was having to adapt my lifestyle as I found my leisure activities of riding, yoga and running painful. I had also adapted my diet, excluding some foods as, at times, some foods caused attacks of IBS. In addition, I had come to a point where I was taking time off work: my job necessitates driving long distances and at times and I found I was in too much pain to drive.
I have and continue to been treated with a combination of osteopathy and naturopathy. The naturopathic approach has seen me review and adapt not only what I eat and but also how I eat and drink. What seemed like simple solutions had an immediate effect on my IBS symptoms and over time they have resolved completely. My new approach to what and how I eat does not feel restrictive, indeed, the advice from the clinic was that it is counterproductive to become obsessive about diet so I can enjoy a treat too!
I have experienced back pain for many years. As there seemed to be several things causing the problems an MRI scan was recommended in order establish exactly what was going on and to enable treatment to be planned accordingly. My treatment is an ongoing process which is carried out on a consultative basis; as one problem is resolved it usually leads to another area to work on. Hamish has described this process as “peeling the layers of an onion”. In addition to the improvements gained from osteopathy, the problems I experience with my back have also benefited from my change in diet with pain levels becoming more manageable. At this stage in the process, I have seen a dramatic improvement in pain levels; I estimate a 60 -80% improvement currently and my energy levels are dramatically increased. In addition to naturopathy and osteopathy I have also worked with Hamish to develop a yoga-based exercise routine which I do most days. My treatment process is ongoing: I feel very happy to have found a clinic where a consultative and inclusive approach is used.
I have found my treatment to be exceptional value for money and would highly recommend the clinic and in particular Hamish Tailyour

My experience of the Plymouth Naturopathic Clinic began with a Google search which led me to their website which was comprehensive and informative. I then spoke on the phone with Hamish Tailyour and having talked about my symptoms and possible approaches, I arranged my first appointment.
I arrived for my first visit to find the waiting area at the clinic itself spotless and at the same time, relaxed and comfortable which immediately put me at ease. During my appointment Hamish was extremely thorough in discussing my history and went on to outline what he felt the best approach to improving my symptoms would be. He explained very clearly that he works on a consultative basis. We discussed both naturopathy and osteopathy during this session. Hamish then carried out an osteopathic assessment and some treatment. A huge plus for the clinic is that the ethos is to have longer appointment times (an hour to an hour and a half) than I have experienced in other clinics. I feel this allows for more detailed discussion, more comprehensive treatment and ultimately a faster recovery
I would highly recommend this clinic and in particular Hamish Tailyour for anyone with complex issues who is looking for a consultative approach in improving their health. The clinic is highly professional and extremely easy to engage wit. As a result of working with them, my health has improved enormously.

Would 100% recommend

5 50 Paid: £40

I have been extremely happy with Hamish Tailyours naturopath clinic. Hamish has worked wonders with my energy levels and sinuses. When i first visited I couldn't smell anything due to 'chronic rinisitis'. I spent a fortune on prescriptions from the GP who kept filling me full of anti-biotics and steriods. This has been ongoing for nearly two years. I attended Hamish's clinic three months ago and I have nearly got my full smell back. Hamish gave good, non judgemental advice and recommended a better diet and a few supplements. I would 100% recommend Hamish's clinic to anyone who is concerned about their health or who feel they meed advice about clean eating/healthy living.

Colon Hydrotherapy

I have been considering colon hydrotherapy for a while now, Amongst other things i started to suffer with depression and anxiety and from there had stomach and reflux problems. I researched a number of private clinics and read the client reviews. This clinic, by far, had the best overall reviews. I spoke with Hamish over the telephone about what I hoped to gain from seeing him, I felt very comfortable speaking with him and so i made an appointment. I went to the clinic and sat in the waiting room a minute. I was taken through by Hamish and we sat for a good hour, I wasn't sure what to expect as I'd never been to a private clinic before. I had pictured maybe an interview style line of questions, but I was very much at ease with Hamish as soon as we'd started talking.
We spoke at length about my health and the effects my symptoms had on my life. Once Hamish and I decided colon hydrotherapy may be a good starting point for me he fully explained what was going to happen, showed me the equipment and told me what I could expect and acknowledged i was nervous and that this was a normal reaction. I felt as comfortable as I possibly could, given this was my 1st treatment, it was a strange experience. After the treatment we sat for another half hour and talked about the treatment and ideas he had to help me to get well again. I came away feeling really hopeful, that maybe my GP might have been wrong about getting used to living this way. I have another appointment booked in 2 weeks time. I would most definitely recommend this clinic to my friends & family.

I am very pleased with the treatment I have received from this clinic, in particular from Hamish. I was suffering with a severe pain in my lower back and left hip/leg for well over a year. After only two treatments the pain has gone and I am very happy about it! The cost of the treatments are very reasonable and I was never rushed or hurried. I would recommend Hamish and the clinic as a one with integrity and professionalism.

Colon hydrotherapy (colonics) is a safe, effective method for cleansing the colon of waste material.  The procedure is very simple; the colon is repeatedly flushed with warm filtered water at low pressure which, when released, brings out with it any loose and impacted debris and toxic material.  The water is introduced and released via a small sterile tube inserted into the rectum to a depth of two inches (5cm).   The procedure is not painful or uncomfortable provided that a few basic rules are followed by a competent practitioner.  The procedure itself lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Your nutrition is about much more than what you put in your mouth. It is about maximising your potential and it requires personal commitment. It is about feeling vibrant, energised and alive so you can fully engage with life on all levels with both its challenges and its joys.

A naturopathic approach to nutrition focuses as much on how you eat as it is does on what you eat. Your digestive ability, what you absorb, and the efficient removal of waste at a cellular and bodily level are largely dependent on how you eat your food.

Massage

Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to promote relaxation.

It helps to alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm and stress: promoting health while generating a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.

Massage improves the function of the circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems and in doing so may improve the rate at which the body can recover from injury and illness.

Stress related symptoms such as headaches, neck and lower back pain and repetitive strain injuries may also be much helped with massage especially when combined with the occupational health advice offered.

Massage increases the effectiveness of other complementary treatments such as osteopathy, chiropractics and homeopathy.

Massage can aid in reducing stress and may be part of the process of optimising good health and building resilience.

Massage:

Holistic therapy massage may aid the recovery of a wide range of conditions from stress, anxiety and sleeplessness to poor digestion, pain, recovery of injury, muscle strain, migraine / headaches and sinus congestion. The list is almost endless.

Sports injury and deep tissue massage:

Deep massage therapy may help to realigning deeper layers of muscles and relieve the stress of incurred injury. This treatment aims to work deeper into the muscles, aiding release of tissue. It is often used for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

Clinical Reflexology:

Reflexology is a healing therapy which works with points on the foot known as the reflexes. This is deeply relaxing and is tailored to the individual. Reflexology may help to bring about balance enabling the healing process by facilitation of your body’s own potential for well-being.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage:

This deeply relaxing massage therapy may promote the healing of injury such as fracture, torn ligaments and sprains. Patients often visit after surgery to possibly aid in the reduction of swelling and pain. MLD may aid chronic conditions such as arthritis and is used widely to reduce swollen ankles and legs, and puffy eyes. MLD may promote healing of wounds and possibly improve the appearance of old scars.

Job Title:
  Practice Therapist
Specialisations:
  Homoeopathy
Languages:
  English
Biography:

I am a qualified homeopath, registered with the Society of Homeopaths. I came to study homeopathy after years of using it successfully myself and with my four children. As I became more and more confident in my home-prescribing I also became increasingly fascinated and wanted to learn more. I spent four years, from 2007 to 2011, studying homeopathy at the School of Homeopathy. It was a tremendous privilege, a 'University of Life", and I learnt a great deal about myself as well as about homeopathy. As well as seeing clients I am a tutor for the School of Homeopathy on both their Attendance and Home Study Courses.

Before becoming a homeopath I studied Physics at degree level and became a teacher of science. I later went on to work with children with Learning Difficulties and spent many years working with children who found it difficult to access school for one reason or another. I bring much of my experience and learning from these years to my homeopathy.

I started using homeopathy myself in my early 20s when I was suffering from menstrual irregularities that persisted despite various interventions where I felt I’d been poked and prodded about to no avail. Fortunately a friend suggested homeopathy, something I’d not heard of at that point in time, and sure enough, it came to the rescue! That started a conviction that conventional medicine doesn’t always have the answers and can often be invasive, sometimes even aggressive and can leave unwanted side effects.

Homeopathy can sometimes be complementary to conventional medicines and sometimes alternative. It acts gently and in accordance with our body, mind and spirit. Homeopathy, for me, has become more than a system of medicine but a part of my way of life. I believe that we should do our best to live in harmony with our planet and take as little as possible from it. I believe that we are more than body and mind and that we have an energy body or soul body that interacts with the world around us. When we become ill we’ve become out of balance and remedies from the natural world can help us to regain harmony and health. Health allows us to be our most creative selves.

I see people of all ages with a broad range of physical, emotional and mental symptoms. I like to spend time listening to your story and your medical history. You know better than anyone else, from first-hand experience, about your medical condition. I see your treatment as a journey where we will walk alongside each other to try to get to the core of what's causing your ill health. My aim is to help you regain the best level of health possible.
