David Hutton

Biography:
Having grown up in Birmingham, David moved to London in 1998 to study Osteopathic Medicine at the British College Of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM). Four years later he graduated with a 2:1 honours degree. David juggled his studies around his passion for sports. Whilst at the college he played hockey for Bournville HC in the National League and also played for England U21. In 2001 David suffered a serious back injury which kept him off the pitch for three years. He continues to play hockey now for Teddington HC in National division 1. As well as playing, David is also a level 1 hockey coach and is involved with Gerrards Cross HC and Buckinghamshire county. Continuing with his love of sport last year David completed a 2 year post graduate diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University, London. Many of the lecturers are leading experts in the field of Sports Medicine and the course is very well recognised. During the course David had the opportunity to observe the treatment of some world class athletes. David hopes to develop the sports injury side of the clinic. He already works with Chesham RUFC and many other athletes in the area.

Taeona Hutton

Biography:
Following a HND in Sports Science at Manchester Metropolitan University Taeona took on a 4 year osteopathic degree at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM), London. Since graduating in 2001 with a 2:1 honours degree she has worked in a NHS multi-disciplinary practice whilst developing the clinic in Chesham with David. Taeona's interests are working with pregnant women, babies and children. To develop and widen her knowledge she has successfully completed a paediatric osteopathy masters degree at the Osteopathic Centre For Children (OCC), London. This was a 2 year course which involved working one day a week at the OCC treating babies, children and pregnant women under the guidance of consultants at the clinic. Having completed the course she is one of the first to receive this MSc award. As part of the course Taeona has also spent time in the neonatal, intensive and special care units at Barnet Hospital. This has enabled her to develop her cranial osteopathy and gain experience of treating very sick and premature babies. Taeona now hopes to further develop the obstetric and paediatric side of the clinic whilst continuing to work both structurally and in the cranial field.
