Osteopathy Initial Consultation from £70
Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together. To an osteopath, for your body to work well, its structure must also work well. So we work to restore your body to a state of balance, where possible without the use of drugs or surgery. As osteopaths we use touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help your body’s own healing mechanisms. We may also provide advice on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring. We assess and treat people of any age from the elderly to the newborn and from pregnant women to sports people. Conditions we treatThe most common conditions that we treat are:• back and neck pain• headache arising from the neck• shoulder and arm problems• pelvis, hip and leg problems• minor sports injuries and tensionsHowever, patients have found osteopathy helpful for many other conditions. If you want to find out more, we will be happy to talk to you.
Cranial Osteopathy from £55
Cranial Osteopathy is a subtle type of osteopathic treatment that uses very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage changes throughout the body, as well as the head. We treat the whole body not just the head.We use our highly trained palpatory skills to detect areas of tension or restriction in the body, and gently release them to restore a state of balance within the musculoskeletal system of the body.Because the techniques are so gentle Cranial Osteopathy can be used on everyone, from newborns to the elderly. Frequently patients comment on how much change can be effected so gently, and report improvements in general health and well-being as well as relief from their original symptoms.

Osteopath Consultation £30 - £40
We practise from Colnbrook and Maidenhead in Berkshire although home visits can be arranged and are  osteopaths and cranial osteopaths, working with all ages from babies to the elderly.  Osteopathy manually treats many conditions including back pain, joint pains, headaches, repetitive strain injuries, sleep issues, colic, depression and anxiety, not to mention treating systemic problems such as IBS and asthma.  Osteopaths use their hands to manipulate the body back to neutral for optimal health. Joints, muscles, ligaments and all the other anatomical structures are treated to restore health and maintain it, fighting away disease and pain.
Paediatric Osteopathy
Cranial Osteopathy £30 - £40
Cranial osteopathy works with the flow of fluids around the cranium. If there are restrictions in the flow then the nutrients and oxygen cannot reach the parts of the brain that are so crucially in need of it and stagnancy can occur. This often effects children and babies, disrupting sleep cycles and causing colic and can effect adults in many ways such as sinusitis or anxiety. Gentle treatments ease the restrictions away so that the fluids flow optimally.

Oak Tree Osteopathy - Oak Tree Osteopathy logo

Oak Tree Osteopathy

2 Oak Tree Avenue, Marlow, SL7 3EJ
Osteopathy is an established primary healthcare system of diagnosis and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions. By looking at the structure and function of the body, by taking a thorough case history and examination, areas of imbalance are recognised and treated through a means of soft tissue massage, manipulation, stretching and articulation to increase joint mobility, relieve muscle spasm and enhance the blood and nerve supply to the body. At Oak Tree Osteopathy we take the time to understand our patient, their unique combination of symptoms, medical history and lifestyle. This helps to make a diagnosis of the causes of the pain or lack of function (rather than just addressing the site of the condition) and to formulate a treatment plan that will achieve the best outcome for the individual. Osteopaths frequently work alongside other health professionals, such as GPs, nurses and midwives as well as alternative medical practitioners. Osteopathy works well to complement other medical interventions including surgery and prescribed medication. Osteopathy is one of the safest and most effective forms of treatment for musculoskeletal pain. As well as being seen as back pain experts Osteopaths treat many problems. Things treated include:  (this list is not conclusive)• Back and neck pain• Nerve entrapments• Arthritis• Sciatica• Joint problems• Shoulder pain• Headaches• Jaw pain or clicking• Sports injuries• Muscular problems• Postural problems• Referred pain
