Dr Emily Shub

Biography:
Clinic Director, Osteopath BAppSc (Comp Med), MOst.Graduated from RMIT University with a Masters degree that explored the possibility of Osteopathy being available through the public health system. Her post-school journey has involved a Bachelor of Arts (History), a Certificate IV in Fitness, putting thousands of lucky feet in Birkenstocks, travelling the globe and happily landing at Health Point Clinic as an Osteopath! Emily loves being an osteopath and is humbled daily by the simplicity and effectiveness with which osteopathic medicine can provide a pathway to health. Emily has completed postgraduate training in Osteopathy in the cranial field (OCF), paediatrics and the Biodynamic approach to OCF. And has kept her anatomical knowledge sharp by teaching at Victoria University.

Dr Jaclyn Atkinson

Biography:
Clinic Director, Osteopath BA DipEd, BHSc, MHSc (Osteo), Grad Cert Paeds.She believes that Osteopathy offers a holistic way of addressing the body’s physical ailments to enhance well being. She has always been interested in people and the process of learning. Her Diploma of Education placed her in secondary school learning environments observing learning styles and processes. She taught anatomy at Victoria University whilst completing her degree and has completed post-graduate study in Osteopathy in the cranial field (OCF) focusing on Paediatrics and Children with Learning Disabilities. Her Masters study was on Reflective Practice and how we continue to learn as practitioners.

Dr Nicolas Roos

Biography:
Clinic Director, Osteopath.BAppSc (Comp Med), MOst.He trained and worked as an environmental engineer until his great curiosity about the workings of the body and his eagerness to work closer to people triggered him to abruptly change direction and become an osteopath. Nicolas finds deep satisfaction in helping people achieve better health and wellbeing. He particularly enjoys using gentle, non-manipulative techniques, which powerfully mobilise the body’s self-healing mechanisms and are well suited to people of all ages. Nicolas has a special interest in chronic disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, asthma and dysmenorrhea, which require to look more deeply at the interface between our organs and musculoskeletal system. Nicolas is very dedicated to learning. He regularly undertakes further training to broaden his range of skills. He has attended post-graduate courses in cranial osteopathy and visceral osteopathy (organ manipulation)
