At 27 he went back to RMIT for 5 years to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science in Osteopathy. He's been in practice since 1992. He is fascinated by Embryology and Osteopathy. Michael has been studying with a shy genius called Dr Brian Freeman. With his help, he has started to understand living anatomy. Michael has run several marathons, cycled all over Victoria and bush walked regularly in paradise (aka Wilson's Promentory). His passions are the ocean, great friends and being of Italian stock, loves good food and wine.

Ms Ashar Salia

Biography:
Osteopathy

Ashar qualified from UWS with a Master’s degree in Osteopathy. Her thesis focused on osteopathic treatment techniques for women with complex hip and low back pain. These conditions can become chronic and disabling if left untreated and are often misdiagnosed in general practice leading to treatments that are expensive and ineffective. Ashar is a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association ensuring continued professional development and has guest lectured at RMIT in Melbourne and SCU NSW in the areas of acute neck pain and obstetric and gynaecological osteopathic care. Ashar treats a lot of expectant mothers for common pregnancy complaints such as headache, low back pain, pubic symphisitis and posterior pelvic pain. Ashar has worked in the United Kingdom with spinal injury patients and people suffering with conditions affecting the nervous system. More recently she attended the World’s 1st Visceral and Pelvic Pain Conference in Holland to pursue her interest in chronic pelvic pain pathologies such as pudendal neuralgia, tail bone and birth traumas. Ashar has a personal interest in treating patients with headaches, migraines and arthritis (both osteo and rheumatoid) and can offer a different pain management approach for these two complex and often poorly managed conditions

Mr Manu Wakely

Biography:
Osteopath

Manu enjoys the playful banter at ESO. He graduated from UWS as an Osteopath in 2005 and has been working at the clinic ever since. He has a background in engineering (graduating UNSW 1998), the military and elite sports. He also works as an instructor in the fitness industry at Elixr Bondi - a pilates and yoga gym. Manu has helped patients therapeutically whilst intregrating their exercise and activity regimes. He plays and coaches sport at the national level. His favourite success story is when he took a guy from walking with a cane for five years and who had recently undergone heart surgery to being able to choose to run on a treadmill and bush walk for fun.
