In the last 15 years, Dr Holt has also been specialising in replacement surgery of the knee and shoulder: and replacement surgery now constitutes a large volume of his practice. Again, this is both primary replacement surgery and revision surgery of these joints. Dr Holt has presented numerous papers at scientific meetings, both in this country and overseas. He has won the best paper award at the Australian Orthopaedic Association conference. He has run an international fellowship training program, for overseas Orthopaedic Surgeons wanting to sub-specialise in knee and / or shoulder surgery, for over 20 years, and has been involved in running courses for the New Zealand Orthopaedic Surgical Trainees. He has lectured overseas and has been the invited speaker at several overseas meetings. He has been both president and secretary of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, and is currently the secretary of the Australian Knee Society. He has been a member of the Knee Committee for the International Society of Arthroscopic Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS). He has been a reviewer for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He was the Orthopaedic consultant to the Fremantle Dockers from 1995 to 2012, has looked after athletes from nearly all the elite teams in this Western Australia and, as part of his involvement with the West Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS), has helped looked after the Australian Hockey teams, the gymnasts and track and field athletes.

Dr Peter Hales

Dr Peter Hales specialises in hand and upper limb surgery. His expertise includes both arthroscopic, and reconstructive, surgery of the shoulder, elbow and hand. Dr Hales obtained his Specialist Degree in Orthopaedics in 1980, and travelled to England to undertake a Fellowship in Hand Surgery in 1981. He then completed post graduate studies in Hand and Upper Limb surgery in Europe and the USA. Dr Hales has presented extensively, both locally and internationally, on surgery of the hand, shoulder and upper limb, and is a past president of both the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, and the Australian Hand Surgery Society. He is a foundation member of the Asian Shoulder Society, and a past chairman of the Western Australian Orthopaedic Association.

Dr Greg Witherow

Dr Greg Witherow specialises in adult lower limb orthopaedics. Obtaining his Orthopaedic Fellowship in 1990, Dr Witherow then undertook a Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroplasty with Drs Cross and Pinczewski at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre. In 1992, he travelled to the UK to complete a Fellowship in Arthroplasty at the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. Dr Witherow consults in West Perth.
