About BP KLINIK

At BP Clinic, what truly sets us apart from other hospitals and medical centers is our unwavering commitment to a genuinely patient-centered approach. But what does this really mean?

It means that every individual who walks through our doors is evaluated not just as a case, a diagnosis, or a single medical problem — but as a whole person. To achieve this, we bring together a multidisciplinary team that includes a dietician, psychologist, medical oncologist, and physiotherapist. Each specialist contributes their expertise to create a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan shaped entirely around the patient’s unique needs.

As a professor who has published and contributed to more than 60 scientific studies, I have devoted my entire life to helping people overcome some of the most challenging diseases, including cancer. Throughout my career, one truth has become undeniable: the most effective way to treat cancer is not to focus solely on the disease, but to care for the patient as a whole.

This philosophy is the foundation upon which BP Clinic was built. I wanted to establish a center where I had the freedom to treat patients based on what they truly need — not what the system limits or encourages. Here, every decision, every plan, and every treatment is guided by science, compassion, and a commitment to addressing every dimension of the patient’s well-being.

Cancer Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is a treatment that helps your own immune system recognize and fight cancer more effectively. Your immune system is already designed to protect you from things that don’t belong in your body, but sometimes cancer cells learn how to hide or weaken those defenses. Immunotherapy gives your immune system the boost it needs to respond.

There are different types of immunotherapy. Some treatments help your immune cells find and attack cancer more clearly—almost like removing a disguise that the cancer has been using. Others help strengthen your immune cells so they can work harder and stay active longer. Depending on your situation, immunotherapy can be given through an IV, injections, pills, or in combination with other treatments.

Many patients appreciate that immunotherapy usually targets the cancer more specifically than traditional chemotherapy. Side effects are possible, but they’re often related to your immune system becoming more active, and we monitor you closely throughout treatment.

Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is a treatment that uses medicines to target and destroy cancer cells throughout the body. These medications travel through the bloodstream to reach tumors, making it especially useful for cancers that may have spread beyond their original site.

Each chemotherapy plan is personalized based on the type of cancer, its stage, and the patient’s overall health. While chemotherapy can have side effects such as fatigue, nausea, or changes in blood counts, careful planning and supportive care help manage these effects and maintain quality of life.

I believe in treating both the disease and the person. Chemotherapy is most effective when combined with clear guidance, supportive care, and close communication, so that patients can continue their daily lives while fighting cancer with strength and hope.

Radiosurgery

Radiosurgery is a highly precise form of radiation therapy that delivers powerful doses directly to a tumor in a single session or just a few treatments. Unlike traditional surgery, it does not require an incision, making it less invasive while still targeting cancer cells with remarkable accuracy.

Each treatment is carefully planned to match the patient’s specific tumor size, location, and type, ensuring maximum effect on the cancer while sparing surrounding healthy tissues. Because it is non-invasive, recovery is usually quick, and many patients can continue their daily routines with minimal disruption.

I believe in treating both the cancer and the person. Radiosurgery allows us to fight the disease effectively while prioritizing your comfort, safety, and quality of life, providing support and clear guidance at every step of the journey.

EBRT - External Beam Radiation Therapy

Brachytherapy

Brachytherapy is a type of radiation treatment where we place a small source of radiation directly inside the area that needs to be treated. By putting the radiation right where the cancer is, we can target the tumor very precisely while protecting the healthy tissues around it.

Depending on your treatment plan, the radiation may stay in place for a short time and then be removed, or we may place tiny “seeds” that stay in your body permanently but become inactive over time. Both approaches are safe and commonly used.

We use imaging—such as ultrasound, CT, or MRI—to guide the placement and make sure everything is exactly where it needs to be. Many patients appreciate that brachytherapy is usually completed over a shorter period than other forms of radiation and often has fewer side effects.

Our goal with brachytherapy is to give you an effective, focused treatment that helps control the cancer while allowing you to recover as comfortably and quickly as possible. If you ever have questions or concerns along the way, I’m here to talk through them with you.

EBRT - External Beam Radiation Therapy

External Beam Radiotherapy (EBRT) is a treatment that uses focused radiation beams to target cancer cells from outside the body. It allows us to attack the tumor precisely while protecting the healthy tissues around it. The procedure itself is painless and usually done on an outpatient basis, so most patients can continue their daily life during treatment.

The treatment plan is always personalized — the number of sessions, the dose, and the exact target are carefully calculated for each patient, depending on the type and location of the cancer. Supportive care, such as managing fatigue, skin changes, or other side effects, is an essential part of the process to help maintain quality of life.

I believe in treating the person, not just the disease. With EBRT, our goal is to control or eliminate the cancer while keeping your life as normal and comfortable as possible, providing clear guidance and support every step of the way.

Hormone Therapy for Cancer

Hormone therapy is a type of treatment used for certain cancers that are hormone-sensitive, meaning the growth of the cancer depends on hormones. Common examples include some breast cancers and prostate cancers.

How it works:

·

Hormone therapy either blocks the hormone from reaching the cancer cells or lowers the body’s hormone levels.

·

Without these hormones, hormone-sensitive cancer cells may grow more slowly or stop growing.

Multidisciplinary Cancer Consultation (MDT)

Multidisciplinary Cancer Consultation (MDT) is a collaborative approach where a wide range of specialists review a patient’s case together. This team includes not only surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists, but also allied health professionals such as dieticians, psychologists, physiotherapists.

The purpose of an MDT is to evaluate the patient’s diagnosis, tumour characteristics, overall health, and lifestyle factors to create a comprehensive, coordinated treatment plan.

This approach is closely linked with personalised oncology, which tailors treatment to the unique needs of each patient. By integrating input from multiple disciplines, an MDT ensures that therapies address tumour biology, patient health, emotional well-being, and quality of life, resulting in a treatment plan that is both evidence-based and truly patient-centered.

Oncologist Consultation

When you come in to meet with me for the first time, think of it as a conversation rather than an exam or a test. My job is to understand what’s been going on with you, look at the information we already have, and explain things in a way that actually makes sense — no jargon, no rush.

We’ll go over your history, any symptoms you’ve noticed, and the results of any scans or tests you’ve had so far. I’ll walk you through what those results mean and what we’re looking at. If something is confusing, we’ll pause and talk it through. You can ask me anything, anytime — there’s no “wrong” question.

After that, we’ll talk about the different treatment options that might be right for you. I’ll explain what each one involves, what the goals are, and what you might feel along the way. And just as important, I want to hear what you want — your worries, your hopes, your priorities. Those matter just as much as the medical details.

People often tell me they feel anxious before this appointment, and that’s completely normal. My goal is for you to leave feeling a little lighter, with a clearer understanding of what’s happening and a plan that feels manageable. We’ll take this step by step, together. You’re not doing this alone.

Oncological Surgeries

Second Opinion for Cancer Treatment

What is a second opinion?

The goal is not “more confusion,” but the opposite:

more clarity, more options, and a treatment path that truly fits you.

A second opinion simply means having your current diagnosis and treatment plan reviewed by another specialist.

How does a second-opinion process work?

Your existing reports, scans (MRI, CT, PET), and previous treatments are reviewed in detail.

The evaluation is patient-specific — not just disease-focused.

Different treatment options are compared, including non-invasive approaches, combined therapies, or alternative strategies that may offer a better balance between effectiveness and quality of life.

Targeted Therapy

Personalized Oncology

Personalised oncology is a modern cancer-care approach that treats every patient and every tumour as unique. Instead of relying on standard protocols, it uses detailed information about the tumour’s genetics, biological markers and the patient’s overall health to design an individualised treatment plan.

By analysing tumour tissue or blood samples, we identify genetic mutations and pathways that drive cancer growth. This allows us to select the most suitable therapies — such as targeted drugs, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, or tailored combinations — specifically matched to the tumour’s biology.

The goal is simple: more effective treatment with fewer side effects.

Because the therapy is chosen for that specific patient, outcomes often improve, and unnecessary treatments are avoided. Personalised oncology also includes a holistic view of the patient’s lifestyle, needs and expectations, ensuring care that is both scientifically precise and truly patient-centred.

Integrative Oncology

Integrative oncology is a holistic healthcare approach that combines modern, evidence-based medical treatments with lifestyle modifications, nutritional support, mind–body practices, and selected complementary therapies.

The goal of this approach is not only to treat the tumor, but also to support the patient’s physical, psychological, and social well-being, making the treatment process more tolerable and effective.

Integrative oncology does not replace standard oncological treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or immunotherapy; rather, it complements them. All supportive methods are evaluated for safety and scientific validity, and an individualized plan is created for each patient.

General Practice

Cancer Screening

Cancer screening is a way for us to look for signs of cancer before you have any symptoms. The goal isn’t to worry you—it’s to catch potential problems early, when they’re usually much easier to treat and the chances of a good outcome are highest.

Different screenings check for different types of cancer. For example, mammograms look for breast cancer, colonoscopies and stool tests check for colon cancer, Pap tests and HPV tests screen for cervical cancer, and low-dose CT scans can help detect lung cancer in people at higher risk. We choose the right tests for you based on your age, medical history, and personal risk factors.

Screening doesn’t mean we expect something to be wrong. Think of it as part of keeping you healthy—just like checking your blood pressure or cholesterol. Most screening results come back completely normal, and if something does show up, we’ll talk through it together and decide the next steps.

My goal is to make sure you feel informed, supported, and comfortable. If you ever have questions about which screenings you need or when to have them, please let me know. I’m here to help keep you healthy and to make these decisions with you, not for you.
