He specialises in melanoma, breast cancer and soft tissue tumours.
After completing general surgical training Andrew gained extensive training and experience in the management of breast cancer, advanced melanoma, and soft tissue tumours. He is a senior surgical oncologist involved in the multidisciplinary care of patients at Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) and he also has appointments at the Mater Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.
He is Vice President of the Society of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand Inc (BreastSurgANZ), Vice Chair of the Breast Section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Chair of the Post-fellowship Training Committee for BreastSurgANZ, a member of the Australian and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group loco regional management subcommittee and Chair of the Breast and Endocrine Surgical Group at the Mater Hospital.
He lectures and teaches students at the Northern Clinical School.
She holds Fellowships of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians (ASBP) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
She has extensive experience in the interpretation of breast imaging and performance breast biopsy. Her particular interests are managing of women at high genetic risk of breast cancer and enhancing follow-up care after treatment for breast cancer.
has been a leader in developing the role of the breast physician in the cancer team and establishing credentialing standards in breast medicine. She is a member of the Executive of the ASBP. She is also an enthusiastic teacher and researcher.
She spent the next two years gaining specialist experience in innovative and established techniques in breast surgery and performing research into sentinel lymph node biopsy.
She also works as a VMO at Northern Breast Screen. Kylie is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney and is a member of Breast SurgANZ, the Australasian Society of Breast Disease and the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group. She regularly participates in breast cancer education for medical professionals, patient groups and the broader community.
Her special interests include oncoplastic breast surgery and intraoperative analysis of sentinel lymph nodes. As well as the Poche Centre, Kylie also consults at rooms in Hornsby on a fortnightly basis.
