Biography:
Profile I qualified from Manchester University in 1979, then worked in Hospitals in the North West and in Salisbury, before doing my GP training in Salisbury. I started in General Practice as a partner in Christchurch, in 1984, then moved West, when I married Paul Brown, who was a GP in Dorchester. I have been in Puddletown since 1992. I also ride, and have several horses and a couple of dogs, who keep me fit! Dr Anne Boyle I enjoy working in a small practice, where we can get to know our patients well, be easily accessible to them, and offer continuity of care.

Mrs Carol Taylor PG Dip Mgt Health & Social Services

Job Title:
  Nurse
Biography:
Profile I was born in 1953 and grew up in Leicester. On leaving school I trained to be a Primary School teacher and taught at a junior school in Leicester. Looking for a change, in 1981 I took a job with the National Trust, running a C17th Manor House, shop and tearoom in North Yorkshire. I moved to Dorset in 1987 when Dr and Mrs Normandale retired and worked as “Jack of all Trades” in partnership with Dr Taylor, who was a single handed GP at the time. Mrs Carol Taylor More recently I obtained a Diploma in Management of Health and Social Services from Bournemouth University and have taken on short term projects as Development Manager at various other local practices at the request of the Health Authority, at the same time as I have continued to run this one. My job entails the planning and commissioning of services, matching provision to the health needs of individuals and populations, management of finances, human resources, health and safety, maintenance of the building and equipment. My focus is at all times on our patients and the quality of treatment they receive here. I live in Cheselbourne with my husband and four Jack Russell terriers. My hobbies include walking, gardening and reading. I am a keen environmentalist and the surgery’s ‘green’ credentials are uppermost in my mind when planning services or developments – such as the new surgery building.
