Massage from €50
Deep Tissue Massage from €60
Deep Tissue Massage targets the deep tissue structure of the fascia and muscles, referred to as connective tissue. Of the many types of massage, deep tissue focuses on the release of muscle tension and chronic knots. Deep tissue massage can break up and eliminate scar tissue from previous injuries. A common problem is that stressed muscles can block nutrients and oxygen from getting to where they need to go, and this will cause inflammation that allows toxins to build up in your muscle tissue.  The inflammation and toxins contribute to pain and stress. Deep Tissue Massage breaks up and releases the built-up toxins by loosening the muscles. With the toxins released, blood and oxygen can circulate as they should through one’s body. Being properly hydrated before you go to your massage appointment and drinking plenty of water after one of these massages is highly recommended. The strokes used in deep tissue massage are similar to those used in a Swedish Massage except more pressure is used and it uses cross grain strokes (strokes that go across the gain of the muscles instead of with the grain). As with a classic Swedish massage, you will be lying on a massage table and covered with a sheet or towel. A good way to recover from a Deep Tissue Massage is by soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt. This soaking is recommended because it will help get more of the toxins out of your body (Epsom salt draws the toxins out into the water). Your muscles need some rest after one of these massages, even if you feel no soreness. So do not plan any activities within a day of a Deep Tissue Massage. Some people think that if you just push hard enough, a knot could be worked out in one session, but this is not the case. For built-up tension and chronic knots (adhesions) deep tissue massage is just one part of the treatment.

Deep Tissue Massage from €60
Deep tissue massage is effective because of its technique - consisting of slower, stronger massage that stimulates deep into muscles. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia. In many cases, a deep tissue massage has replaced the classic Swedish massage in terms of frequency of use. Whereas visitors to any spa around the country may have traditionally sought out a massage that simply relaxed, now they are seeking a massage that also stimulates, conditions, and heals.

I am looking forward to my next treatmentAngela, Ireland, 25 05 22

I go to Iwona to get a full body massage. I have a problem with my neck and shoulder. So I decided I would get reflexology this time from her. She explains the treatment in relation to reflexology, but also works in a holistic way to provide an enjoyable /relaxing /healing experience. She is very passionate about what she can offer her clients. I wasn't sleeping great and I had a great sleep after my treatment. I am looking forward to my next treatment. I have no hesitation in recommending Iwona to others who are open to find ways of helping improve their health and wellbeing. Thank you Iwona, it is a lovely experience that I will always look forward to.

Massage
At the Centre we have a broad range of different massage techniques on offer, to suit all needs, form deep tissue, aromatherapy, holistic, etc.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage Back, Neck and Shoulder
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE Deep tissue massage is a specialised massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscles. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as adhesions). Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied along or across the muscles. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas, such as the back, or the back of the legs.

Mandala Holistic Therapies - Massage Clinic in Ireland

Mandala Holistic Therapies

Dublin Holistic Centre, 28 South William St., Dublin 2
My interest in complementary therapies began in my teenage years as I was blessed come from a family of successful holistic practitioners and teachers and would often help out on courses, learning the techniques myself in the process. During my time in university studying Health and Society I took a number of massage courses to become a fully qualified practitioner and haven't looked back since. I have found that the integration of massage and complementary treatments into peoples busy lives is an integral and powerful tool for maintaining balance and keeping stress at bay. I have been involved in setting up healing spaces at festivals and events, and recently helped set up a beautiful treatment room in the Fumbally Stables in Dublin 8, which is used by a dynamic team of holistic practitioners. My work in this field has lead me to working with vulnerable people in the community such as those with intellectual and physical disabilities, mental health issues and addiction. I have found that the response from these clients to gentle, loving massage has been transformational to the way I work. By using intuition and a slow approach with those who are challenged with verbal or physical communication, I feel that my intuition with every client has become stronger and I have learnt to ‘listen with my hands’ to tailor treatments for each persons needs.  I completed most of my training through the London Centre of Indian Champissage and I specialise in Ayurvedic treatments which in
