Active Mum Baby Massage, Dublin 15

(01) 901 0176 ext: 79256 Castleknock Community Centre, Laurel Lodge Road, Dublin, D15
I will teach you strokes that are safe and appropriate for you to massage your baby, so that you can enjoy it as a regular activity at home. The massage class which I teach was developed by Vimala McClure who is the founder of the International Association of Infant Massage and is taught all over the world. Why do a Baby Massage Class?Spend quality time with your baby learning how to give your baby a massage, and meet other local mums for friendship and support. What happens at a Baby Massage Class?I like to keep the atmosphere relaxed, so there will be low music playing and the lighting will be low. Each parent will sit in a circle on the rugs provided, with baby on a blanket in front. I, the instructor, will be within the circle with a life-size doll in fromt of me to demonstrate the strokes on. Each week we will massage a different body part and revise the strokes done the week before. At the end of the class we have a discussion and chat over tea and biscuits.- Oil andd towels are provided. - There are no more than eight parents - A handbook giving a pictorial description of each massage stroke is provided What are the Benefits of Baby Massage?1. Relief - may help relieve constipation, wind and colic pains.2. Relaxation- during the massage and also may help baby sleep better3. Stimulation - stimulating the muscles and nerve pathways.4. Interaction - great for bonding between the two of you.

Tui Na
Tui Na is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping, Chinese herbalism, tai chi, and qigong.Tui na is a hands-on body treatment that uses Chinese taoist and martial arts principles in an effort to bring the eight principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into balance. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll/press, and rub the areas between each of the joints, known as the eight gates, to attempt to open the bodys defensive (wei) chi and get the energy moving in the meridians and the muscles. The practitioner can then use range of motion, traction, and massage, with the stimulation of acupressure points. These techniques are claimed to aid in the treatment of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as many non-musculoskeletal conditions.

Thai Massage Ireland

75 South Hill Leopardstown Road, Sandyford, Dublin 18, Dublin 18
Rating from 1 Review I come here regularlyThomas, Ireland, 23 Sep 15

This is a beautiful setting. The rooms are well laid out. The Thai massuses are extremely professional. I have been getting massages here for the last 2/3 years. I get a full body oil massage. I am fully naked, you have the choice to keep your underwear on also. The massuses really know how to loosen you up and work all your knots out. They start the massage by standing on you and then they apply the oil and go to work on your body. At the end they stretch your arms and legs. I would recommend this place to anyone. The owner Michael is Irish and he's very helpful over the phone to organise your appointment. I get a massage here every 3/4 weeks.
