Treatment was custom designed and comprehensive and I was thoroughly relaxed during and after and felt great the following day.

Massage From €50
Deep Tissue Massage From €60
Deep Tissue Massage targets the deep tissue structure of the fascia and muscles, referred to as connective tissue. Of the many types of massage, deep tissue focuses on the release of muscle tension and chronic knots. Deep tissue massage can break up and eliminate scar tissue from previous injuries. A common problem is that stressed muscles can block nutrients and oxygen from getting to where they need to go, and this will cause inflammation that allows toxins to build up in your muscle tissue.  The inflammation and toxins contribute to pain and stress. Deep Tissue Massage breaks up and releases the built-up toxins by loosening the muscles. With the toxins released, blood and oxygen can circulate as they should through one’s body. Being properly hydrated before you go to your massage appointment and drinking plenty of water after one of these massages is highly recommended. The strokes used in deep tissue massage are similar to those used in a Swedish Massage except more pressure is used and it uses cross grain strokes (strokes that go across the gain of the muscles instead of with the grain). As with a classic Swedish massage, you will be lying on a massage table and covered with a sheet or towel. A good way to recover from a Deep Tissue Massage is by soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt. This soaking is recommended because it will help get more of the toxins out of your body (Epsom salt draws the toxins out into the water). Your muscles need some rest after one of these massages, even if you feel no soreness. So do not plan any activities within a day of a Deep Tissue Massage. Some people think that if you just push hard enough, a knot could be worked out in one session, but this is not the case. For built-up tension and chronic knots (adhesions) deep tissue massage is just one part of the treatment.

Rating from 6 Reviews I have recommended him to all my runner friendsChristina, Ireland, 04 Feb 16

I visited Andy in October last year just two weeks prior to the Dublin Marathon. My IT band was playing up, resulting in hip and knee pain. I thought that was it, I'd definitely lost all hope of making my first marathon after all the hard training! Two sessions of dry needling, deep sports massage and exercises and I made it to the starting (& finishing!!) line of my first marathon. I found Andy to be very professional and knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed and he really investigated the issue thoroughly. It really helps to have a physio with a sports background. I have recommended him to all my runner friends, and can't rate his service highly enough. Thanks Andy,

Healing Hands Therapies

Rating from 1 Review Full body massage after running marathonSarah, Ireland, 14 Aug 15

Hi iv had many full body deep tissue massages with Saby in Healing Hands Therapies. I'm a long distance runner and every time I get a full body deep tissue off Saby the results are excellent - all tenderness, tightness in the muscles is relieved after it. I ran Dublin City Marathon and my body especially my legs were inflamed and after seeing Saby my whole body felt relaxed and completely eased. I will continue to go to Healing Hands Therapies. Every time my experience is soothing and extremely relaxing. Saby knows exactly what areas of the body are tense and has the skill to work through every inch of muscle tightness. Very professional in how he carries out his work.

Deep Tissue Massage €40  -  €55
As the name suggests it, deep tissue massage is a technique targeting the deeper muscles and connective tissues and focusing on realigning , fascia, tendons and ligaments in order to relieve tension. Scar tissues and adhesions in muscles block circulation and cause pain, weakness and numbness so by stimulating the deep layers of tissue and destroying these inelastic bands, blood flow is improved, toxins elimination is stimulated and oxygenation is significantly enhanced.

I will teach you strokes that are safe and appropriate for you to massage your baby, so that you can enjoy it as a regular activity at home. The massage class which I teach was developed by Vimala McClure who is the founder of the International Association of Infant Massage and is taught all over the world. Why do a Baby Massage Class?Spend quality time with your baby learning how to give your baby a massage, and meet other local mums for friendship and support. What happens at a Baby Massage Class?I like to keep the atmosphere relaxed, so there will be low music playing and the lighting will be low. Each parent will sit in a circle on the rugs provided, with baby on a blanket in front. I, the instructor, will be within the circle with a life-size doll in fromt of me to demonstrate the strokes on. Each week we will massage a different body part and revise the strokes done the week before. At the end of the class we have a discussion and chat over tea and biscuits.- Oil andd towels are provided. - There are no more than eight parents - A handbook giving a pictorial description of each massage stroke is provided What are the Benefits of Baby Massage?1. Relief - may help relieve constipation, wind and colic pains.2. Relaxation- during the massage and also may help baby sleep better3. Stimulation - stimulating the muscles and nerve pathways.4. Interaction - great for bonding between the two of you.
