Lomi Lomi Massage  
What is it?Originating in Polynesia, Lomi Lomi Massage (also known as Aloha or Kahuna massage) is a complete healing system which aims to restore harmony and balance within the body, mind and spirit. The word Lomi means to massage; Lomi Lomi means to massage with intention. This is one of the most important principles behind this beautiful bodywork as the practitioner always works on the body with love, nurturing and healing in mind. Hawaiians have always had a deep connection with nature, in particular with the ocean, and this connection is echoed in Lomi Lomi as the practitioner performs long, continuous, sweeping strokes over the body reminiscent of the ebb and flow of the ocean’s waves. These strokes, performed fluidly and rhythmically with both the hands and forearms, work gently and deeply into the muscles releasing tension, as well as on the blood and lymphatic systems making it a powerful, detoxifying massage. They are also designed to help the body let go of old memories, beliefs and behavioural patterns which, in Hawaiian culture, are believed to be stored in every cell of our bodies. These ideas and thoughts can prevent us from living our lives to their true potential and are capable of causing just as much stress and strain on the body as muscle tension. Hawaiians perceive health in terms of energy flow. If there is a blockage obstructing the natural flow of energy then pain, illness or disease may result.Lomi Lomi Massage uses intuitive movement, breath work, focused attention and rhythm to release energy blockages and physical tension to bring about a state of harmony and deep relaxation. What to expect from a treatment A brief consultation will be carried out to establish if there are any contraindications to the treatment and then the therapist will leave you to undress. There will be a couple of minutes of chanting music whilst both the client and practitioner set their intention

I recently had a gastric bypass and lost 8 stone I was very lucky to find this site just by searching online. I have to say I had lost a huge amount of muscles with the weight loss and decided to treat myself and see how my body was doing. I was unbelievably happy with the care and treatment I got from well experience masseuse and the feedback she gave me around my muscle loss and the encouragement going forward. I definitely will be going back for more, one of the best massage I ever had. Not only did she help my body to recover, she also made me stop and think about how in the name of god I got this far without probably looking after my self, mind, body and soul. It was as if she stopped the madness and gave me back the gift of life so if you don't mind, I have to give credit where credit is due. I've been to many places all my life looking for quick fixes for my mental health and a lot of things did suppress my inner demons. I do believe everything happens for reasons and how I got a particular date, time or place with the odds stacked against me, I can't explain but so powerful. She made me look into my inner self that day and I will be grateful for that the rest of my life. Miracles do happen if you let them. It's a package, if the brain is not right- the body suffers and if the body's not right the brain suffers. Thanks.
