Laser Eye Surgery

$4000 - $7200

LASEK refers to laser remodeling of the corneal surface after alcohol assisted removal of the corneal epithelium. This procedure is useful in cases where the cornea is thinner than normal and, in cases where patients may be exposed to blunt trauma to the eye after surgery.

$250 - $400
Laser Eye Surgeon Consultation

A full pre-LASIK surgery assessment includes corneal topography, corneal pachymetry, eye pressure check, spectacle power check with and without cycloplegic eyedrops, and retina check to determine the patient's eye health and suitability for LASIK surgery. Your doctor will explain the procedure fully and provide a brief simulation of the procedure.

$6600 - $8400

LASIK corrects shortsightedness, astigmatism and youthful longsightedness by using an Excimer laser to change the shape of the cornea under a corneal flap. At Jerry Tan Por Yong Ming Eye Surgery, we perform customized topography-guided LASIK to minimize side effects like halos and glare and to improve our patient's quality of vision especially at night.

LASIK with IntraLase

The Intralase is a femtosecond laser that creates a very finely spaced layer of bubbles at a very precise depth underneath the corneal surface. The creates a LASIK flap in a more precise and safe way than a microkeratome blade.

$4650 - $5550
PRK - Photorefractive Keratectomy

Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) refers to laser corneal remodeling on the corneal surface. The surface corneal cells or epithelial cells were traditionally removed with a rotating brush, but can also be removed after treatment with alcohol like in LASEK.

$2500 - $2800
PTK - Phototherapeutic Keratectomy

Phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) is a procedure where the Excimer laser (that is also used to correct spectacle power in LASIK) is used to remove very thin layers of the cornea to treat a medical problem like recurrent erosions, superficial scars and irregularity of the cornea.

Eye Care

$4400 - $7800
Cataract Treatment

Cataract is a natural process associated with age especially adults aged 55 years and above. As light passes through the cloudy lens, it is diffused or scattered. This results in blurred or defocused vision. A cataract generally should be removed to provide better and clearer vision.

Cataract surgery is one of the most common surgeries performed in Singapore with most patients experiencing improved vision if there are no other eye conditions present. Surgery is usually outpatient and performed under local anaesthesia.

$600 - $1000
Eye Specialist Consultation

Before consultation with our doctors, the patient will have to undergo a full eye examination which includes the following tests:

  • Refraction
  • Visual Acuity Test
  • Slit Lamp examination
  • Dilated Fundus Examination
  • Tonometry
  • Keratometry

Other eye tests may be done depending on the patient's complaint and condition.

Glaucoma Treatment

Glaucoma is a condition in which the nerve of the eye is damaged and the patient's vision is affected, even if the other parts of the eye remain normal. In most cases, this damage to the nerve is caused by high pressures in the eye. The main aim of treatment in glaucoma is to lower the eye pressure.

$16400 - $22400
Keratoplasty, or corneal transplantation, is surgery that replaces part or all of the transparent surface lining of the eye. This surgery may be required if the cornea becomes cloudy, or if it becomes very thin to the point of perforation. Occasionally it may be required to clear a corneal infection that is not responding to medications.
