About Renaissance Natural Therapy Centre

Renaissance

Therapy Centre

Setting New Standards in Holistic Therapies

The Renaissance Holistic Therapy Centre was established to provide the most popular and effective complementary therapies available while putting the focus firmly on quality of service and maintaining the highest professional standards.

The Centre which is ideally located just off Harborne High Street is run by Centre Director Hilary Leach, herself a well qualified and experienced practitioner and her team of therapists all of whom have been selected for their expertise and success in their particular fields.

Around therapies are offered at Renaissance from Aromatherapy to Craniosacral therapy to Hypnotherapy and the City Acupuncture Centre is also run from Renaissance

Renaissance also holds a series of holistic workshops where you can learn a number of new skills such as how to give Reiki, how to manifest prosperity or learning more about Aromatherapy. We also hold a Reiki share on the first Wednesday of each month.

The Centre is constantly updating its portfolio of treatments as part of an ongoing strategy to ensure its clients have the best range of services possible to achieve emotional, mental and physical optimal health. However complementary and holistic therapies can be a minefield and unsurprisingly many people can feel unsure as to which is the right treatment for them and cynical about its effectiveness. We understand this and are happy to spend time with you in a free consultation to discuss your individual needs and advise on the best course of treatment.

Please note that our therapies are not a substitute for proper medical diagnosis and treatment. At no time will you be encouraged to stop treatment or to reduce or change your prescription drugs without talking to your GP or Consultant.

Gift vouchers are available on all treatments and make excellent presents whatever the occasion. The Centre now accepts debit and credit card payments.

Austin Everill

Job Title:
  Practice Therapist
Specialisations:
  Massage Therapy, Orthotics, Physical Therapy
Biography:
About Me: I qualified at The Carlton Institute in both Sports and Swedish Massage and went on to study Soft Tissue Release technique - a cutting edge technique in injury recovery and healthy muscle tissue maintenance - at the London School Of Sports Massage. My first degree in Psychology had an emphasis on sports psychology and motivation and this, coupled with training in nutrition and physical therapy helps me provide a holistic approach to my client’s mental and physical needs. I am in my fifth and final year of post-graduate study to qualify as a Chiropractor and am already able to bring several aspects of Chiropractic to my therapeutic work. I’m a keen distance runner and sports enthusiast and have taken part in several running events. I work with a variety of clients including runners, climbers, skiers, martial artists and other athletes as well as non sports people.
Jane Hobbs - Practice Manager at Renaissance Natural Therapy Centre

Biography:
About Me: I have been a practising holistic therapist. My extensive training in different aspects of massage and associated therapies means that I can provide a unique and tailor-made treatment to meet both remedial and relaxation needs for all my clients. I am one of only a few qualified Pregnancy Massage therapists in the Midlands and work with mums-to-be up to their due date offering a much needed solution to the aches and pains associated with pregnancy. I also run regular Baby Massage groups in Harborne which are very well attended. Before becoming a full time therapist I worked at director level in PR and Marketing and ran my own consultancy. I took over the ownership and running of Renaissance in August and bring to it a valuable mix of business, marketing and holistic skills with the aim of making it an attractive and vibrant centre providing the best that holistic therapy has to offer. Hilary Leach

Job Title:
  Practice Therapist
Biography:
About Me :I am very lucky as many people dream of changing their career and I am living the dream! ;It is so wonderful to be able to be helping people resolve health issues instead of working in insurance. ;As a larger lady who has, in her life, been really poorly and who is still steadily improving with an allegedly incurable illness, I know that you will feel comfortable and relaxed working with me – even if you do have to take your clothes off! I have successfully shed more than five stones in weight (with more to go) and my health is the best it’s been in ages – thanks to the complementary therapies and therapists that I love. If you have a health issue or worry about being told off or judged for your lifestyle — or even fret about being too heavy for a couch or too thin to be healthy, I promise you have finally found the therapist where you can relax and truly be you.I am convinced of the many benefits of complementary therapies: I can both vouch for this from a personal perspective and am blessed in having many happy, healthier clients who are also living the benefits in their lives today. To book an appointment:
Kathryn McNeill - Practice Therapist at Renaissance Natural Therapy Centre

Kathryn McNeill

Job Title:
  Practice Therapist
Biography:
Kathryn McNeill Therapies: Zero Balancing Qualification Certified Zero Balancer (Cert. ZB) Diplomas in Swedish and Therapeutic Massage and Anatomy and Physiology (VTCT),Black Sash in Lau Gar Kung Fu (BKFA) and a Second Tengchi in Lee Style Tai Chi Chuan. Member of the Zero Balancing Association UK About Me: I am a Zero Balancing practitioner, massage therapist and teacher of tai chi and kung fu/kickboxing. My own experience of having regular zero balancing sessions led me to train as a practitioner and I’ve found that having bodywork, particularly zero balancing, is deeply effective, supportive and transforming. Over the last fifteen years I have worked on myself physically and psychologically through martial arts training, tai chi, chi gong and acupuncture. Martial arts have given me an experiential understanding of the body’s structure and mechanics, and have developed my ability to listen to another person’s body through touch. Since having my daughter in 2006, motherhood has deepened my capacity for listening and staying present and has helped me to develop strength, patience and mindfulness, qualities which I endeavour to bring into my practice. To book an appointment
