1st Step Therapy provides a high standard of musculoskeletal physiotherapy within its Swansea Clinic. All assessments and treatments are carried out in our spacious and well equipped therapy room in a discrete and holistic style.

Each couple’s individual needs and cause of infertility is addressed and a complementary or holistic treatment plan is drawn up. Treatments are given for psychological problems, health conditions, addictions and nutritional imbalances that lead to infertility. Acupuncture, reflexology, physiotherapy, nutritional therapy, chiropractic treatments, reiki, yoga, and meditation are therapies provided at the clinic. Other treatments include bloating, hormone therapy, menstrual and menopausal abnormalities and other problems that cause infertility. Baby massage and post natal care is also offered.

Simone Buehner (formerly Davis), owner of Barefoot Medicine, is a highly experienced acupuncturist, herbalist and nutritional therapist with 20 years' experience in complementary therapies since leaving the corporate world behind in 2001. She worked for the British Acupuncture Council for four years as a Professional Development Lead assisting acupuncturists across Wales, Herefordshire & Shropshire with CPD and training.  She is also a Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine. As with all complementary and alternative therapies, nutrition is at the heart of any healing process, so Simone offers functional medicine lab tests to check your gut integrity, adrenal fatigue lab tests and many others.  She runs a monthly detox programme with free weekly Zoom (video-conferencing) calls to support her clients as they help themselves to heal in between their clinic sessions.  Simone sees patients with a very wide variety of healthcare matters, some of which are 'known' conditions such as unexplained infertility, pain management, eczema, stress & anxiety, PTSD, musculo-skeletal pain, menopausal symptoms, children's health, side-effects of conventional medicines etc - but sometimes people come saying they 'just don't feel right', so we work together to get that person back on track.
