Jerry Leonor is a Recovery Consultant and Spiritual Mentor with over three decades of continuous sobriety and service within the Philippine recovery community. A long-standing member of the 12-Step community, Jerry draws on his extensive lived experience to support individuals navigating both early and long-term recovery, combining structured recovery principles with a deep focus on personal and spiritual growth.

His professional experience spans several established treatment centres in the Philippines. Jerry spent eight years with New Beginnings in Manila, followed by nine years with New Day Recovery Center in Davao, where he supported clients through different stages of their recovery journeys. He also played an instrumental role in the founding and development of Pathway to Recovery, helping establish a supportive environment for individuals seeking to rebuild their lives.

In 2024, Jerry expanded his approach to include Refuge Recovery, offering free community sessions for newcomers interested in a non-theistic, mindfulness-based approach to recovery. In 2025, he began incorporating teachings from A Course of Miracles into his work, supporting individuals seeking to develop a deeper and more personal spiritual foundation beyond traditional recovery frameworks.

Jerry's approach is compassionate, direct and grounded in lived experience. He draws on his understanding of multiple recovery pathways, spiritual practices and the importance of connection, mindfulness and personal responsibility.

Having walked the path of recovery himself for more than 32 years, Jerry brings humility, wisdom and a deep respect for each person's individual healing journey. Through his work, he remains committed to helping others find greater connection, purpose and lasting change.

Yuko Tsushima is the Founder of Akari Wellness and Treatment Hub. A Japanese entrepreneur who has lived and worked in the Philippines for more than 17 years, she has founded and managed several businesses while developing a deep understanding of the local community and the challenges faced by individuals and families seeking support.

Through her personal and professional experiences, Yuko recognised a growing need for compassionate, person-centred care for people affected by addiction, mental health challenges and major life transitions. This vision inspired her to establish Akari as a safe and supportive space where individuals can slow down, reconnect with themselves and build a foundation for lasting change.

Yuko believes that recovery extends beyond treatment alone. She views true healing as a process that can involve restoring confidence, rebuilding relationships, developing healthy routines and creating a meaningful life built around purpose and connection.

Through Akari, Yuko remains committed to fostering a respectful and supportive environment where every individual is given the opportunity to heal, grow and move forward with hope.
