San Fu Moxa up to €15
AMAZING CURE for ASTHMA - HAY FEVER - LUNG DISEASE SAN FU MOXIBUSION San Fu Moxibusion is an Amazingly Effective method of treating Asthma, Hay Fever and other Respiratory diseases.  This treatment is traditionally used in Chinese Medicine and involves mixing a specially chosen herbal formula into a medicinal paste, which is then taped by experienced acupuncturists to points on the body called acumoxa points. The paste is applied to the body 3 times on each Fu Periods, which are dates, that are predicted to be the hottest days of the year.   Research studies recommend that patients stick as close to the dates as possible and try to ensure that treatment is done in summer. Start dates for this year and the following 4 years are as follows. 2014:  July 18, July 28, August 7 2015:  July 13, July 23, August 2 2016:  July 17, July 27, August 6 2017:  July 12, July 22, August 1 The treatment is given on the first day of each Fu period; so the patient comes in once every 10 days to have the paste taped to points mostly located either on their back or lower legs.   This practice is so popular and famed in China that Traditional Chinese hospitals are known to have queues out the doors on these dates with patients waiting for hours to have their points taped. POINTS TO REMEMBER 1. During the treatment the skin can blister which is normal. You can come to us to pierce the blister or you can let the water out yourself with a sterile needle. This treatment is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, has a heart condition or
Reflexology up to €55
Reflexology is a gentle non-invasive therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to every organ gland and system in the body. By stimulating these reflexes, reflexology encourages deep healing and tranquil relaxation. This therapy is particularly beneficial for joint mobilisation, migraine, sinus, digestion, back problems and stress-related conditions as it discharges negativity and stimulates the body’s own immune system for self-healing. It can also enhance general well-being so why not book yourself a treat and pop into your local Care Cure Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine for a soothing reflexology session? Sessions typically last about 35 minutes and prices vary with the time allowed for treatment.
Holistic Health Consultation free
Holistic medicine is now used all over the world. What this means for you is that each part of your physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions is equally important and imbalances in any of these areas can contribute to illness. Holistic medicine considers a person’s mind and body, diet and exercise, lifestyle and relationships, work and leisure, and achievements and problems. Whether you have pain in your leg, a headache, or are suffering from stress Chinese Medicine follows the holistic principle. Chinese medicine states that illness results when there is disharmony in the body, or when something is out of balance. The concept of organs is different to that of Western medicine. In Chinese medicine, organs are viewed according to their perceived functions, rather than literal functions. In Care Cure Clinics we say that the enlightened person eats when hungry and sleeps when tired. This means living in harmony with the energy of the seasons and with the particular requirements of mind and body, which empowers you to influence your own health destiny.

Moxibustion
In China acupuncture is not seen as separate from moxibustion or cupping and it is quite normal to see all three together. The treatment is called Zhenjiu, Zhen meaning needles and Jiu meaning moxibustion. This therapy involves the burning of dried Mugwort herb close to or on the skin, or on the top of needles. This can not only provide relief by warming areas that are cold, stiff and sore and tonify depleted yang energy, but the wonderful healing properties of the plant can also facilitate healing on deep levels.
Cupping
Cupping involves the application of glass or bamboo "cups" onto the skin by internal suction. This helps to remove blockages, or pathogens, which cause injury, pain, stagnation or illness. The effect is to promote healing by either directly removing pathogens, or by allowing increased and more efficient flow of blood and energy to damaged tissues, for localised pains, or throughout the body to help promote general wellbeing.
Acupuncturist Consultation €50 - €65
Chinese Medicine Theory states that there are a number of organ systems within the human body which need to interact in harmony with each other and the outside environment in order to maintain physical balance, and that loss of this harmony results in illness. It also finds that there are channels related to these organ systems running throughout the body. The insertion of needles in certain points along these energy channels help restore balance between the organ systems and bring about good health. A series of weekly treatments is normally required to allow the body to return to the harmony needed for good health. Less serious conditions will require a shorter treatment term, with longer term treatment usually needed for more chronic conditions.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a form of natural, holistic therapy based on the theory that there are points on the feet and hands which correspond to organs, systems and structures within the entire body. This corresponding relationship is called a 'reflex'. A reflex is stimulated at a certain point to respond to another point or area in the body. In reflexology by massaging these specific reflex points one can bring about balance of the eight bodily systems in order for the body to work together in harmony and unison and thus creating a feeling of well-being. This treatment is relaxing and non-invasive, it is ideal for those of us with busy stressful lives, as it balances the body to restore homeostasis or equilibrium. This is often the treatment of choice for expectant mothers who need to literally take the weight off their feet.
