Cupping €70
Cupping is therapy  in which a local suction is created on the skin; it mobilizes blood flow in order to promote healing.
Acupressure €70
Acupressureis a therapy that uses precise finger placement and pressure over specificpoints along the body. These points follow specific channels, known as meridians- the same channels used in acupuncture. According to Asian medical philosophy, activation of these points with pressure (or needles) can improve blood flow, release tension, and enhance or unblock life-energy, known in China as"qi" or in the English-speaking world as "chi." Thisrelease allows energy to flow more freely through the meridians, promotingrelaxation, healing and the restoration of proper function. Acupressuretherapy can be used to relieve pain, reduce tension in muscles, improvecirculation and promote deep states of relaxation. It is often done by massagetherapists and other bodyworkers, but can also be learned as a technique to bedone oneself. Individuals can be treated, then trained in various self-careapplications and pressure-point formulas for specific conditions. These includenausea and vomiting, motion sickness, headaches, neck and back pain, as well aschronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, mental and emotional stress, even addictionrecovery and learning disorders.
Anxiety - Alternative Treatment €70
At New Leaf Acupuncture, Dublin, we recognise that anxiety and stress can manifest itself in the body in many ways – sleep disorders, gastrointestinal issues, immune system weakness, pains in the body, etc. We look for and treat the root of their cause. Acupuncture can help to reverse the above changes. It increases serotonin production while also releasing the body’s natural pain- killers, endorphins and enkephalins and decreases cortisol secretion. Patients report feeling more relaxed and focused after an acupuncture session. As the treatments continue, patients often notice that “things that used to really bother me no longer do.”
Alternative Allergy Treatment €70
A recent study at the University of Erlangen in Nuremberg, Germany, found that 85% of participants receiving acupuncture for hay fever and other allergies reported an improvement in well-being and significant reduction in symptoms. At New Leaf Acupuncture, Dublin, we offer treatment with acupuncture that carries the long term benefits of symptom relief, without the side effects of medication. For best results, treatment begins before symptoms emerge, or at the early stages.

Thai Massage from €70
90 mins treatment Thai Yoga Massage Thai massage is a system of massage and manipulation developed in Thailand, and influenced by the traditional medicine systems of India, China, and Southeast Asia, as well as by Yoga. Practice The massage recipient changes into loose, comfortable clothes and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. The receiver may be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, but deep static and rhythmic pressures form the core of the massage. The massage practitioner leans on the recipient's body using hands and usually straight forearms locked at the elbow to apply firm rhythmic pressure. The massage generally follows designated lines (Sen) in the body. Legs and feet of the giver can be used to fixate the body or limbs of the recipient. In other positions, hands fixate the body, while the feet do the massaging action.  A full Thai massage session typically lasts two hours or more, and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body; this may include pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking the knuckles, walking on the recipient's back, and manipulating the recipients body into many different positions. There is a standard procedure and rhythm to the massage, which the practitioner will adjust to fit each individual client. Benefits Most of us know that massage feels good; but therapeutic massage, such as Thai traditional massage, also provides relief to a multitude of specific health concerns. Therapeutic massage is part of an integrative care approach to many medical conditions An important element of Eastern medicine is the concept of life force or energy. In Yogic terms, it is referred to as prana, in Chinese it is called chi, and in Thai it is called loom. All are referring to the basic principle of life force ener

Tui Na What can i expect from a Tui Na treatment? One of the biggest advantages Tui Na has over other therapies is that a Tui Na patient is usually treated while fully clothed.  A Tui Na practitioner uses a combination of hand techniques, manipulation and mobilisation of joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments to align the musculo-skeletal system, to treat pain and encourage the flow of Qi (pron. 'Chee') and Blood in the body.  Among it's many other benefits, Tui Na often brings a sense of well being after a treatment and over time this can have a profound psychological affect.  This is one reason why people who try Tui Na, often find it becomes their treatment of choice.
Acupressure €45 - €60
Acupressure [from Latin acus "needle" + pressure] is an alternative medicine technique similar in principle to Acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body.  I n treatment, physical pressure is applied to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Pressure may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices. Acupoints used in treatment may or may not be in the same area of the body as the targeted symptom. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory for the selection of such points and their effectiveness is that they work by stimulating the meridian system to bring about relief by rebalancing Yin, Yang Blood and Qi (also spelled "chi"). This theory is based on the paradigm of TCM Many East Asian Martial Arts also make extensive study and use of acupressure for self-defense and health purposes (Tui Na). Martial artists regularly massage their own acupressure points in routines to remove blockages from their own meridians, claiming to thereby enhance their circulation and flexibility and keeping the points "soft" or less vulnerable to an attack.
