Caroline is a complementary therapist of 14 years.   Contrary to belief, reflexology is not a 'pamper' treatment and will not simply massage or tickle your feet.  Reflexology is a sequence of movements over the feet or hands, that can result in increased relaxation and greater awareness of health, which can allow the body to heal other health problems that may be present.  Reflexology can be quite surprising for your health but you need to try it to find out!  On the whole reflexology is not ticklish, nor do I care what state your feet are in that just makes the treatment all the more relevant, though clean is always nice.  I am also a qualified Nutritional Therapist (Functional Medicine) and will give you personal advice on some dietary changes you can make to improve your overall health as well. This colonic hydrotherapy clinic is located in Glastonbury in Somerset and is run by a therapist who is qualified in providing other therapies. there are also other therapist working there. At the initial consultation the nutrition habits and lifestyle are assessed and prescriptions and advice are provided. Iridology is also performed on the first visit along with a colonic hydrotherapy session and other sessions are also usually scheduled. Since 1996 I have been practicing various forms of Complementary medicine. I am passionate in my belief that Acupuncture can and does bring fantastic results. What is acupuncture? Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used systems of healing in the world. Originating in China some 3,500 years ago, only in the last three decades has it become popular in the United States Traditional Chinese medicine holds that there are as many as 2,000 acupuncture points on the human body, which are connected by 20 pathways (12 main, 8 secondary) called meridians. These meridians conduct energy, or qi (pronounced "chi"), between the surface of the body and its internal organs. Each point has a different effect on the qi that passes through it. Qi is believed to help regulate balance in the body. It is influenced by the opposing forces of yin and yang, representing positive and negative energy and forces in the universe and the human body. Acupuncture is believed to keep the balance between yin and yang, thus allowing for the normal flow of qi throughout the body and restoring health to the mind and body. Does it hurt? Unlike hypodermic needles, acupuncture needles are solid and hair-thin, and they are not designed to cut the skin. They are also inserted to much more shallow
