I had mine done here at the end of June. it’s difficult to judge the results at this stage, because the final outcome is usually only visible after 12 months. It took a full day to do the transplant (which is about 8 hours). The only discomfort I had was due to the anaesthetic. When the needle pierces your scalp, there’s a slight sting, but they numb your head so you don’t feel anything during the actual procedure. The clinic had pleasant staff who took good care of me. This was my first time visiting a clinic like this, so I don’t have any other reference point, but I will say this: the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. For them, it was about so much more than just the surgery. I was even fetched from the airport and taken to the hotel. My translator from Kazakhstan was very nice and helped me understand what the doctor was saying. It was because of her support and the excellent information she provided, that I ended up choosing this clinic. I’m still in touch with her now. I send monthly progress photos that she forwards to the doctor. It’s likely I’ll return in 12 months to have some more follicles inserted. This time around they focused mainly on the front, sides and top. The back of my head might need more attention, but this will all depend on the results I see in a year.
