I had abdominal wall incisional hernia which was caused by a previous surgery done by a gynaecologist for my son’s birth. I had severe pain in my entire abdomen and had to undergo the abdominal wall incisional hernia repair surgery on 27th May 2022. From admittance through to discharge the very next day, I cannot fault the professionalism and concern of all the staff. In particular, a big thank you of the course to the Surgeon (Dr Sohaib Khan). The surgeon explained the procedure and answered my all queries during pre operation visit. A thorough professional surgeon who was able to perform laparoscopic hernia repair while all other doctors were telling me it would be an open wound surgery. I was able to walk within 6 hours after surgery, the few tiny incisions, which were invisible within a week post surgery, didn’t hurt. Then the best part that I was able go home the next day without any discomfort and repercussions. The surgeon and his team was very caring, very reassuring and utterly tuned into the human condition. My sincere thanks to all who looked after me so well especially to Dr Sohaib whose wonderful skills, thoughtfulness and dedication towards his profession saved me from having a big scar and painful surgery. What is 3-dimensional mesh in hernia repair? Conventionally hernias are repaired using a flat single layer non-absorbable mesh. A 3D mesh is a pre-shaped three dimensional device constructed of an on lay mesh connected by a mesh cylinder to a circular underlay patch. The mesh is placed with open surgery technique. The underlay mesh layer is placed in the pre-peritoneal plane (below the muscles-deeper plane) and the overlay is placed over the muscle layers. This allows the mesh to be secure and does not allow it to be displaced. The 3D mesh is used in inguinal, epigastric, spigelian and umbilical hernias. The 3D mesh has a lower recurrence rate compared to laparoscopic surgery also.

I am from Dhaka. I have suffered from fistula for 6 months. At first, I treated by our local surgery doctor in Bangladesh and done Fistulagram. After seeing my Fistulagram dr told advice me surgery immediately and have to stay at the hospital for a week and they told me to operate me for 2 times and two times dressing every day then I was afraid after this and I was confused with their opinion. Then searced in google or Youtube and I found Dr Ashish Bhanot and also I go through his videos on Youtube. I thought I should consult him immediately.
