Dr Susan Hudson

Biography:
Founder of Fertility Institute of Texas, is a native of New Braunfels. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University, where she graduated magna cum laude. While at Texas A&M, she was active in student government including Traditions Council and was a Fish Camp co-chair.

She then attended Texas A&M University System Health Science Center where she earned her Medical Degree and decided to pursue a career in women’s health care. She completed her residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple TX then moved north to complete a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN.During fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Hudson authored a chapter on MRI-guided focused ultrasound surgery and has published and presented studies at national meetings about the effects of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome on children born through IVF, quality control measures in the IVF lab, and success rates with young patients with diminished ovarian reserve to name a few.

She believes in life-long learning so she can give you the best treatments available.Since completing her fellowship, Dr. Hudson has called New Braunfels home and has been serving this region as a successful Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility specialist. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. She serves on the New Initiatives Committee with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, Texas Medical Association, and the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.On a personal note, Dr. Hudson is married and has 3 children. Her husband, Brook, works at Rackspace in San Antonio and is a Cub Scout den leader. Her sons, Beck and Blaine, love gymnastics and Legos; and her daughter, Brynn, loves all things “little girl”.

Dr Christy Bard

Biography:
Christy has a servant’s heart and enjoys making a difference in people’s lives. At Fertility Institute of Texas she wants to make sure that each patient is served with care and compassion.

With any job she has had she has made it a priority to work with companies that are making an impact on people’s lives and she is looking forward to contributing to the journey of each of our patients. Christy has a degree in Exercise Sports Science with many years of experience in leading and helping others throughout her career.

She has lived in New Braunfels for almost 15 years and has enjoyed seeing how much New Braunfels has grown and changed over the years. She is looking forward to seeing how The Fertility Institute of Texas will grow and change the lives of many people in and around the New Braunfels area.

Frederika Garrette

Biography:
Is the newest addition to our Fertility Institute of Texas family. She has served as a caring nurse for 16 years thus far. Her service as a nurse in fertility spans approximately ten years and she feels fortunate to be a part of the best job in the world helping couples become families.

She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA and has worked for the majority of her career in Women’s Health.

She is very patient, caring and dedicated. She’s also is very passionate about her role in her patient’s fertility journey and tries very hard to ensure that all of their needs are met physically, mentally and emotionally. She is a mother of 2 and enjoys spending quality time with her husband, children and little Maltese when she’s not spending time with her patients. Her hobbies are amateur photography, scrapbooking and movies.
