Dr Brian D. Barnett

Biography:
Was raised in the Northeast. For his undergraduate schooling, he attended New York University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in psychology. Subsequently, he received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. Thereafter, Dr. Barnett completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) in Baltimore. After residency, Dr. Barnett completed a three-year fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, often considered to be one the premier infertility training programs in the world. Prior to moving to Plano in 1997 and entering private practice, Dr. Barnett was on faculty at Duke University Medical Center and was instrumental in the success of its in vitro fertilization program.

Dr Lowell T. Ku

Biography:
Growing up in Dallas area, he attended the prestigious St. Mark’s School of Texas. For his undergraduate schooling, Dr. Ku attended Emory University. At Emory, Dr. Ku received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music: Cello performance. Dr. Ku received numerous awards while attending Emory University including the National Scholar’s Award. Subsequently, he received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where he was the president of his medical school class. Thereafter, Dr. Ku completed training in the nationally recognized Family Medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and entered into private practice in Houston. Having always loved obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Ku returned to training and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at John Peter Smith Hospital. During residency, Dr. Ku published many research abstracts and won the Pritchard Prize Paper Award in 2005 for the best resident research awarded by the Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Ku was also honored with numerous awards including the Outstanding Medical Specialty Resident Award in 2004 and 2005.

Dr Dara L. Havemann

Biography:
She was accepted into the University of Missouri, Kansas City's prestigious accelerated medical program directly out of high school and completed both her undergraduate and medical school degrees in six years. Dr. Havemann moved to Texas for her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Ð Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. After residency she continued her training at UTMB to complete a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. While completing her fellowship Dr. Havemann also simultaneously earned her Masters of Medical Science degree. Throughout her residency and fellowship training Dr. Havemann was recognized for her exceptional laparoscopic surgical skills, receiving the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award, and was also recognized for her proficiency in laparoscopic skills at the American Society of Reproductive Medicine laparoscopic course for fellows. Other honors received by Dr. Havemann during her training include recognition as the Best All-around Resident Award, Outstanding Medical Student Teaching Awards, and second place at the Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecologists resident research day for her research on ovarian aging. UTMB also recognized Dr. Havemann as a most dedicated faculty for her teaching and volunteer services at the local free health clinic. Dr. Havemann has published and presented many papers at national conventions on the topic of embryo implantation. She is a current member of many national societies including the American Association of Reproductive Medicine and the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
