She received awards for commitment to social justice and community-based public health from Yale University’s School of Epidemiology and Public Health. Ms. Ruby is a research collaborator with Dr. Scheib, TSBC’s Research Director and also the mother of a donor-conceived child.??

Dr Lorraine Bonner

Graduate of Stanford University Medical School and a past Chair of the Ethics Committee at Summit Medical Center. She is currently a hospitalist on the staff of Alameda Hospital. Dr. Bonner has been TSBC's Medical Director since 2001.??

Dr Joanna Scheib

Job Title:

Biography:
Conducts research on psychosocial issues related to donor insemination and reproduction. She joined TSBC in 1996 with a PhD from McMaster University in Canada and post-doctoral training from the Universities of New Mexico and California. Along with the Identity-Release® Task Force, Dr. Scheib conducted a needs assessment to develop policy and services for families and donors in the Identity-Release® Program. Current research includes identifying factors that predict conception and examining outcomes among open-identity donors, donor-conceived adults, and their families. Dr. Scheib is jointly appointed as Associate Adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of California, Davis.
