What is Egg Donation?

Egg donation is the term used when one woman donates her eggs, for medical research, or to be implanted in another woman as part of an assisted reproduction procedure. The egg donor may be related or unrelated to the recipient. Once the donor has agreed to donate eggs, the eggs are retrieved from her ovaries through an ultrasound assisted surgical procedure. Egg donation supports IVF assisted reproductive procedures, especially for women whose eggs are of poor quality or for women who are too old to conceive.

How long does the Egg Donation procedure take?

While the actual egg retrieval process takes just a few minutes, the administrative and screening procedures for egg donation could take about a month. The procedure is performed under conscious sedation or mild anaesthesia.

What is the recovery time after Egg Donation?

The recovery time after egg donation is usually one month. The donor’s response to the post-ovarian stimulation medications will determine whether she can travel after the eggs are retrieved. This depends on each individual donor. The donor should travel only after the doctor certifies that she is fit to travel. It is important that the donor takes the prescribed post-operative medications correctly. The donor should not indulge in strenuous physical activity or sexual intercourse for a few days after egg donation.

IVF with donor eggs Such a lovely clinic - Blanka was an absolute star from start to finish. She patiently answered my never ending questions and has been a fabulous support from my very first contact with her - and ongoing.... We had our transfer with Dr Monika who was efficient and really made us feel like we were in safe hands (and the actual transfer was totally pain free- I was still waiting for something to hurt, when she said 'ok, all done'!!!!. Lovely clinic and they helped us with everything in terms of travel / accommodation etc. Fabulous. I was recommended to use them and I would recommend them to anyone who is totally disillusioned with long waiting lists and extortionate costs in the UK.

These additional sevices work closely together in order to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your stay. The restaurant serves freshly prepared meals and refreshments, you can book a massage in the wellness studio and the pharmacy is well stocked up with all prescription medication, vitamin supplements and various ranges of toaleteries and cosmetics Location of the clinic and the hotel under the same roof means that our medical professionals are within a close reach in case you need to contact them, also IVF patients can wait for their scheduled procedures, examinations and consultations in the comfort and privacy of their hotel room rather than waiting at the clinic’s reception room. The hotel rooms are conveniently located on the same floor as the operating theatre which means that after undergoing embryo transfer you can be transfered directly to your hotel room. There is a room service available.

Being emotionally stressed from the inability to conceive, the huge out of pocket cost for In vitro fertilization has only made it worse. We had three options: Get a loan for the IVF costs (get deeper in debt). Give up on having a child. Or… Search for alternative In vitro options. We focused on Mag’s home country – The Czech Republic. To our surprise we found that there are several private IVF clinics treating foreign patients for IVF and Donor Egg IVF for less. Already, we began to feel like we had options with In vitro – already we were closer to achieving our dream. We are thrilled to share with you that we found it. We came up with a way to make getting pregnant with IVF and egg donor IVF an affordable, pleasant and fun experience. How does shopping, sightseeing, spa treatments, massages, history and quality time alone, or with your close friends/family sound? All for as little as $4,700 for In vitro fertilization treatment. We believe that the decision to start a family with IVF should not be made more stressful by insurance companies dictating what we can and cannot do when it comes to fertility or IVF treatment. As a result, my husband and I have decided to form this IVF website to help other couples and to offer alternatives of IVF for less than in the US.
