Everyone at the front desk was warm, patient and welcoming

5 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation

I am absolutely thrilled to share my incredible experience at BFC and I simply cannot sing enough praises for my amazing nurse Vivian Montero. From the moment we began this journey we have been met with warmth, professionalism and genuine care that made our Fertility journey an incredibly positive one.

I was so excited to meet the team in person. Vivian is a true gem authentic in her care. Her knowledge, compassionate demeanor, and unwavering dedication were helpful in guiding us through a complex an emotional charged process. While staying in Barbados she gave us wonderful tips and places to visit to make the stay even more enjoyable.

The overall positivity from each person I came into contact with was wonderful. Faith, with heavenly hands gave me a message for the ages. Nicole was so friendly and Lynn was so easy to talk to. Everyone at the front desk was warm, patient and welcoming.

My husband and I are overjoyed to have had the privilege of being under the care of Barbados Fertility Centre and was truly blessed to have Vivian Montero as my nurse.

If you're embarking on a fertility journey, we wholeheartedly recommend BFC.

They were so kind, understanding and immensely supportive through all the ups and downs

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

My husband and I did a round of IVF at BFC. The prices even with travel and accommodations were cheaper than here is Canada. The prices and high success rates were what initially attracted us, but there is a level of psychological safety in having a relaxing tropical vacation if nothing else.

The clinic was SO incredibly responsive, people actually answered the phone and would get back immediately and treatment was never delayed - two things that were big problems in our Calgary clinic.

BFC never made us feel like a number. They were so kind, understanding and immensely supportive through all the ups and downs that is IVF/infertility.

Another huge factor is the depth and breadth of treatments available at BFC, many which aren't available in Canada (ie: Protein plasma treatment, 2 embryo implantation, various medication regimen not offered in Canada). We are expecting in January, and are so grateful for all that BFC did for us.

The staff were so hopeful

Fertility Specialist Consultation

I have literally had the best experience with all the staff I came across at BFC. Anna walked me through the entire process replied to my emails in a timely manner. The staff were so hopeful. I remember the receptionist telling me “Belief, Miracles do happen” and it all came to reality. Dr Corona is so passionate about the care she provides. I am carrying my baby now all thanks to BFC. Thank you all so much. Will definitely be back. As a matter of fact, it’s the best fertility centre!

They made our dreams come true after so many years

5 50 Fertility Specialist Consultation

BFC is so special for so many reasons. The staff truly care about their patients and welcome you like family. They treat each case individually and do not just throw treatments at you like other facilities. They take the time to research, assess, and plan with you the best approach to becoming pregnant. They are also very knowledgeable about different treatments and techniques. The level of customer service you receive is better than any I have ever experienced in the United States, and I am in healthcare as a registered nurse. We could not recommend them enough to others! They made our dreams come true after so many years! Life-changing experience 🥰

I knew I was in the right hands

5 50 Fertility - Alternative Treatment • Paid: $49998

I had never heard of BFC until I was sitting in an international airport two years ago, waiting for my flight home. I had bought a well-known magazine to read and came across a story about a mature lady and her husband who had struggled with infertility for years and was finally successful after seeking assistance from BFC. The couple was blessed with a little girl who was their pride and joy.

At that time in my own life, I had only been married for a short time but wanted to start a family. I had started treatment locally in my own country and was treated with fertility medication for six months but was unsuccessful. After reading the story in the magazine and after my last failed attempt at fertility medication, my doctor at the time recommended BFC without her even knowing that I had read about the same place just recently. Her recommendation confirmed that this was the place I needed to go.

I visited the clinic's website and spoke with Anna who was so comforting and understanding and helped to cement in my mind that I was definitely making the right decision. As I was in my late thirties with low AMH levels, I knew I needed to act swiftly. After several months of correspondence, the required treatments and tests and trying to convince my husband this is what we needed to do, we headed to Barbados the following year to begin IVF treatments. We met with Anna, Dr. Skinner, Dr. Corona, Natalia the embryologist, Cyrilene, Emily the comedic nurse, Dionne and the rest of the team.

After speaking with everyone, I knew I was in the right hands. BFC knows how to provide excellent customer service, especially when dealing with such a sensitive issue as fertility. I have never felt more cared about and supported. I was not just a number to them but a woman with emotions and concerns in a very delicate and fragile state looking for hope and a chance at motherhood. After two failed IVF attempts, I am currently pregnant and my family and friends could not be happier and thrilled for us! It almost feels surreal that I will be a mother in a few short months but I am so thankful and grateful to BFC for assisting in making this happen. It was a financial sacrifice but well worth it. I would recommend BFC to anyone who has gone through fertility struggles and feel that they may never have a chance of having a family but go to the website, speak to Anna and leave the rest to BFC!

A positive pregnancy test 12 days later

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation • Paid: $11354

As a woman in her 40's who had had 5 miscarriages in the past the choice of IVF in the UK was both expensive & as we would probably need a donor egg going to be a long wait as eggs from black or Asian donors I was told were over a 2 year wait & not guaranteed even then!
We looked around & first visited a clinic in Brazil & unfortunately had two unsuccessful rounds. We then read a fantastic review on the Barbados Fertility Centre & decided to try there. They did more tests for problems than we had previously had & two of these found problems which the clinic said needed to be addressed before we started.
We then traveled to Barbados for 3 weeks ( incorporating a relaxing de-stressing holiday which I'm sure was very beneficial!)
We had or IVF & 12 days later a fantastic POSITIVE pregnancy test!!!

The staff & Dr's at this clinic were hugely welcoming. They were positive & greeted EVERYONE with a smile which, knowing how stressful the whole process of IVF can be, is a wonderful welcome. Very professional but still somehow make you feel like a part of some huge family!
Helpful when there are any difficulties in getting & with medication & prescriptions from overseas.

Personal support wonderful!

Our experience was exceptional

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

My husband and I tried for about 6 years to have a family and we were faced with IVF. We chose this clinic because of the high success rates and the outstanding reviews. I could not find one bad review! The team at BFC has changed our lives and we are so blessed to have found them.

Our experience was exceptional. We were treated with so much love and care. Everyone and the clinic made our experience the best that we could ask for. They welcomed us with open arms and by the time we left to say goodbye, they were all giving hugs and wishing us the best of luck. It really was a great experience and they truly enjoy helping you become a family.

Everything is super clean and up to date

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

My husband and I traveled from Colorado to get IVF treatment from BFC. The quality of treatment was a thousand times better than what you find in the U.S., and the cost was so much more affordable.

We chose to travel to BFC for IVF treatment based on the great reviews we found online, the high success rates, the low cost, and the fact that they are JCI Accredited. The quality of care of BFC is amazing! From the ladies at the front desk to the nurses in the treatment rooms, every one there makes you feel welcome and you can tell that they all truly care about your situation. The clinic itself is in a beautiful building directly across from the gorgeous, blue ocean. Everything is super clean and up-to-date. You can't find a prettier or more relaxing place to get IVF treatment.

Thank you for helping us achieve a dream

ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection, IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

My husband and I went through IVF with ICSI treatment at BFC. This was our first try at IVF. We have had three unsuccessful IUIs and BFC was our last hope at starting a family of our own. All of the staff were so friendly and nice, and willing to help us every step of the way. The value of having IVF with BFC is AMAZING compared to the cost in the States. I would and have recommended them to all of my friends and family.

It took Bryan and I six years to finally meet our precious baby boy. He is everything we dreamed he would be and more. He justifies all of the heartaches we had to go through. We would like to say a BIG thank you to Barbados Fertility Center for making us feel relaxed and reassuring each and every step of the way. Nothing was ever a hassle, you always made sure to answer all of our silly questions and make us feel like this was going to be a great adventure. For that, we will always be thankful. Thank you for helping us achieve a dream we thought we would never achieve. We will definitely be back for number two this winter!

They were attentive to my individual needs

5 50 IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

IVF with ICSI

My extensive research for potential successful and affordable IVF abroad brought me to Barbados Fertility Centre as my #1 choice for travel from the USA. From my initial contact with them, BFC struck me as different than other clinics. They were attentive to my individual needs, use a holistic approach to the IVF experience, have staff that have extensive experience, and utilize methods and laboratories that use the latest research and technology. Their staff is really caring, attentive and so supportive. We now have our beautiful baby boy thanks to BFC. I have also refereed other friends from the USA who have also successfully conceived at BFC, after multiple failed IVF attempts in the USA. Going to BFC for IVF is your best chance at a successful IVF, and you get to have an amazing Caribbean trip too!

Blastocyst Transfer

In natural conception embryos arrive in the uterus 5-6 days after fertilisation. With present day IVF, embryos are routinely transferred back 3 days after fertilisation. Recent breakthroughs in the laboratory and developments in media culture have made it possible to grow embryos in vitro for up to 5 days. This is referred to as blastocyst development. By growing the embryos to blastocyst stage you have the potential to choose the best developing embryos and also to transfer fewer embryos, which results in increased pregnancy rates and lowers the multiple pregnancy rates. However, not all patients are suitable candidates for this procedure.

Egg Donor

The egg donation programme was set up to link women that wanted to donate their eggs with those couples that need donated eggs. A woman might need donated eggs for a number of reasons: - Premature ovarian failure - Genetic reasons for not using her own eggs, i.e. some diseases are transmitted genetically. - Older women who have had previously unsuccessful fertility treatments The donors are usually between 21 and 35 years old and donate altruistically to a known or an anonymous recipient. The woman donating her eggs is given fertility drugs to stimulate her ovaries and the development of several mature follicles. Each of these follicles may contain an egg. The recruitment and development of the follicles is regularly monitored by ultrasound scans and blood tests. This is to ensure that the ovarian stimulation is both safe and effective. The pregnancy rate for those treated using donated eggs is 35 % per treatment cycle at Barbados Fertility Centre. However, the success rate is dependant on many factors, such as the number and quality of the donated eggs.

Egg Freezing

Egg Sharing

Embryo Freezing

Embryo storage per additional year Embryo Cryopreservation is the process by which the surplus embryos from an IVF or ICSI cycle may be stored or frozen, for use at a later date. Embryos can be frozen at a number of their developmental different stages –up to and including blastocyst stage. The Embryologist selects the embryos suitable for freezing. The embryos are then introduced into special culture media, called cryoprotectant, to help protect them during the freezing and storage process. The embryos are then frozen using a computerised embryo freezer. Worldwide, the success rates for frozen-thawed embryos are lower than those for fresh embryo transfers.

ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

This price is ICSI IVF. Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a modification of the in vitro fertilisation (“Test-tube baby”) technique where the egg is fertilised outside the body by injecting the sperm directly into it. The embryo(s) are then introduced back into the woman’s uterus in the same way as for IVF. ICSI is typically suitable for several groups of patients, such as: - Men with abnormal semen parameters. - Couples with previous poor fertilisation using IVF. The woman is given fertility drugs to stimulate her ovaries and the development of several mature follicles. Each of these follicles may contain an egg. The recruitment and development of the follicles is regularly monitored by ultrasound scans and blood tests. This is to ensure that the ovarian stimulation is both safe and effective. Our fertility specialist performs the embryo transfer procedure. The selected embryos are introduced, through a fine catheter, into the woman’s uterus. Typically 2-3 embryos are transferred depending on the patient’s circumstances. The embryo transfer procedure takes no more than half an hour and few women experience any discomfort. The first ICSI baby was born in 1992 and subsequently many babies have been born through this technique.

IUI - Intrauterine Insemination

Intra-Uterine Insemination is the introduction of prepared sperm into the uterus in order to improve the chances on pregnancy. IUI-H is applied to couples in which the woman has open fallopian tubes and the male partner has normal semen parameters. IUI-H involves tracking the progress of the menstrual cycle using ultrasound scans and blood tests. For those women that do not have regular menstrual cycles OI may be employed to help stimulate the production of a mature follicle. The IUI procedure is performed on the day of ovulation. Once ovulation has been confirmed the male partner produces a semen sample. This semen sample is then prepared in the laboratory by the Embryologist. The aim of the preparation process is to harvest a good number of motile, normal looking sperm. The prepared sperm are then introduced, through a fine catheter, into the woman’s uterus. The success rate for IUI-H is typically between 10 – 15 % per cycle.
from $6986

IVF - In Vitro Fertilisation

Thawing and transfer(including assisted hatching ) In Vitro Fertilisation also known as the “Test-tube baby” technique, is where the egg is fertilised outside the body and the embryo(s) are introduced back into the woman’s uterus. IVF is typically suitable for several groups of patients, such as: - Couples in which the woman has blocked or damaged Fallopian tubes. - Women with endometriosis or ovarian disorders. - Men with abnormal semen parameters. - Couples with unexplained infertility. The woman is given fertility drugs to stimulate her ovaries and the development of several mature follicles. Once mature follicles have been produced the eggs are collected using an ultrasound-guided needle through the vaginal wall and into the ovary. This procedure is performed under sedation/local anaesthetic. The collected eggs are then placed into culture in the embryology laboratory. Our Fertility Specialist performs the embryo transfer procedure. The selected embryos are introduced, through a fine catheter, into the woman’s uterus. Typically 2-3 embryos are transferred, depending on the patient’s circumstances. The embryo transfer procedure takes no more than half an hour and few women experience any discomfort. The success rate for IVF is typically 25 – 30 % per treatment cycle. However, the success rate is dependant on many factors, such as the age of the woman.
