Dr Clare Boothroyd

Biography:
Dr Clare Boothroyd MBBS (Hons) M Med Sci FRACP FRANZCOG CREI GAICD has been instrumental in the birth of hundreds of IVF babies and she has dedicated her life to the treatment of infertility, training new clinicians in the field and improving treatments for fertility problems. Previously an IVF specialist at Sunnybank Hospital in Brisbane and with over twenty years experience in the field, Dr Boothroyd is one of four clinicians in Queensland to hold the prestigious Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI). She has been the Chair of Gynaecology at Greenslopes Private Hospital from 2001 - 2008, a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of Greenslopes Private Hospital, Queensland Councillor of the Australasian Menopause Society and is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Family Planning Association of Queensland. She is currently an executive member of the IVF Directors group of the Fertility Society of Australia and a member of the Board of the Fertility Society of Australia. Dr Boothroyd’s specialist interests include treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome, pituitary disease, endometriosis, fibroids, male infertility and all aspects of infertility. Dr Boothroyd's unique qualifications in both endocrinology and gynaecology allow her to provide patients with the best possible care in infertility treatment. She has been instrumental in training doctors in best practice in infertility management for many years for the benefit of Queensland couples, and continues to do so as Director of Training in gynaecology at Greenslopes Private Hospital - and also has a trainee in endocrinology affiliated with her practice. She is a member of the CREI committee of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has been an examiner for several years for the CREI. She runs many courses and lectures on the management of infertility and related conditions. She has been a member of the Ethics Committee at Greenslopes Private Hospital and actively engages in clinical research. She is one of the founding members of REACT, a collaborative effort of leaders in infertility in Australia and New Zealand to research and answer key questions in infertility treatment and diagnoses. Dr Boothroyd’s personal interests are diverse and have varied over time but currently include reestablishing native forest on South Stradbroke Island, growing native orchids and working towards her black belt in karate. She is happily married to Russell Bach, an ophthalmologist with whom she shares the parenting of their three children.

Dr Stephen Cattanach

Biography:
Dr Stephen CattanachMBBS FRANZCOG is an experienced consultant interested in infertility and obstetrics. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and his clinical training at the General Hospital of Heidelberg and the Austin Hospital in Victoria. After spending 18 months practicing in Ireland, Dr Cattanach returned to Australia to take up a position as a Clinical Lecturer and then Consultant in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital. In 2000, he set up in private practice at the Mater Mothers’ and Mater Private Hospital, and spent a year working at Monash IVF at Sunnybank Private Hospital. He is currently a Visiting Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mater Mothers’ and Adult Hospitals, Greenslopes Private Hospital and Sunnybank Private Hospital. Dr Cattanach joined Assisted Conception Australia in 2008 and his interests include Obstetrics and Gynaecology, infertility, laparoscopic surgery and pelvic floor surgery: he also assists in the training and development of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in neighbouring countries. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and was secretary of the Queensland branch from 2005-2006. He is also a member of many fertility and gynaecological associations and societies including the Fertility Society of Australia, Australian Medical Association, National Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Pacific Society for Reproductive Health.

Dr Ken Law

Biography:
Dr Ken Law is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with a special interest in fertility and advanced laparoscopic surgery utilising the latest minimally invasive techniques. He grew up in Brisbane, and studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne, graduating with an honours degree before moving back to Queensland for his post-graduate specialist training. He underwent extensive training in high-risk obstetrics in busy tertiary centres including the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Mater Hospital. In 2010, he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong, working in the gynaecological oncology unit at Queen Mary Hospital, where he gained great experience in open, laparoscopic and robotically-assisted gynaecological surgery. He subsequently further developed his interest in minimally invasive treatment for benign gynaecological conditions by undertaking an Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship in Sydney. He has delivered numerous presentations on minimally invasive gynaecology at various national and international meetings

Dr Rozeena Musa

Biography:
Rozeena1 Dr Rozeena Musa attained her primary medical qualification (MBChB) at Otago Medical School, New Zealand in 1996. Upon completing her internship in Christchurch she moved to Australia. She commenced her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, later completing her fellowship at the Auckland Hospital. Having received her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG), Dr Musa held specialist positions at Auckland and Mater Brisbane hospitals. She is highly experienced in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as being a skilled Laparoscopic surgeon. Dr Musa is now associated with the Assisted Conception Australia (ACA) centre and works closely with Dr Clare Boothroyd in the specialised practice of assisted Fertility. Dr Musa delivers a high standard of patient care that pregnant women and their families expect. Her easy going and approachable nature makes patients feel immediately at ease. As a female Gynaecologist, Dr Musa is sympathetic to the needs of women, and she makes it easy for patients to communicate their concerns. Dr Musa continues to pursue professional development opportunities and she has been appointed Senior Lecturer at University of Queensland and participates on the board of examiners. She regularly conducts professional development sessions for local General Practitioners.
