What do you do when you are a bloke approaching his middling years, whose entire working life has been spent selling cars, and you feel like a change??? Well it's obvious isn't it? You train to be an eyelash technician!
Gordon Hodkinson did just that.
One night on the run up to Christmas, long long ago when the world was still young, he found his wife in front of a mirror trying deperately to attach some party lashes. She was making a right mess of them so he asked if he could have a go........
It appeared that he was a natural. The word spread far and wide and all the eligible young and fair ( and not so young and fair ) maidens heard of his rare talent and came flocking to his door with cries of "Oi Gordon will you do my lashes for me?" So Gordon, never one to leave a maiden in distress came to their assistance. Time passed ( as it does) and Gordon performed his miracles when asked, and then one day he heard a story that someone had invented Semi Permanent eyelashes! Could this be true, lashes that last for 5-6 weeks even longer if they are maintained? Surely they would be the answer to ever fair ( and not so fair ) maidens dreams?
Gordon thought about what he should do? Was he brave enough to take on the task? How would he cope training to perform this magic as a mere man amongst a bevy of chattering beauticians? There was only one way to find out!
And so our brave hero went on the course with Lash Perfect and passed with flying colours!
Now he works with his wife Joanna, from a home based salon in South Manchester offering, semi permanent lashes, brow shaping, lash and brow tinting and for a quick fix, party lashes too. He still sells cars, old habits die hard, so he takes appointments mostly in the evening.
