Overall the doctor was very professionalLara, Netherlands, 09 02 24

I came from Finland for surgery with the doctor. As the surgery would be 1/5 of the price of what I would have to pay in in my own home country. I visited the doctor and he examined me and took the time to do all the proper tests to see if I needed the surgery or not. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and there was no need for the surgery after all!! Though I did not need surgery, I can 100% recommend the doctor since he could have very easily said oh yeah sure let's do it, and just take my money! Overall the doctor was very professional and I could see that he had a lot of expertise and accumulated knowledge and it felt I could trust him. More than that the doctor’s assistant is amazing, speaks very good English, and provided clear and informed communication along the process. Very thankful for their efforts.

In almost 2 months my near vision was 90% okayDr., UK, 16 12 20

I am a doctor who is working with the NHS in the UK. I am 43 years old and had myopia for 34 years. I also had astigmatism and presbyopia for the past two years. My myopia was around -7.5 and my presbyopia was near + 1 for both eyes. I was struggling to read books and also in my work. On top of that, I started having headaches. I had used contact lenses but it was quite cumbersome to use. Even though a doctor, I thought that LASIK was only for myopia and my eyes won't fit in for that. This was partly due to a doctor's advice 10 years before I got that LASIK only works for myopes. But I found more information from the internet and I checked the prices in the UK and it was quite high. I found out that similar procedures were available in Eastern Europe and Turkey. I found a few clinics from the what-if clinic website. Nisantasi had contacted me through one of their representatives in the UK who gave me quite reliable information about the different types of LASIK. I was soon convinced about the procedure and the doctor because the person who gave me the information had undergone LASIK at Nisantasi. That was quite reassuring for me although my friends in the UK tried to dissuade me due to uncertainty of medical treatment in Turkey. But I made up my mind as the information provided to me was more than marketing. Even though it was covid the hospital was much concerned about my arrival. I had a smooth landing in Turkey and I was astonished by the hospital which displayed state of the art cleanliness. I do agree that only a few of them could handle fluent English. But they were quite efficient in relaying necessary information and getting consent from me. The eye doctor, Oktay Kumral, was a very cool person who made me feel at ease and to my surprise, he had practised ophthalmology in the UK. The ophthalmology techs were charmingly nice to behave and supportive at their best. The procedure Presbyopia LASIK smart laser eye treatment was done within a few minutes and I had redness and irritation for 6 hours. But the eye drops relieved a major part of my discomfort. My distant vision was okay that evening that I could stroll through Istanbul that night. The next day I even visited the blue mosque. I had bought an extra pair of eyedrops as I traveled back to UK. But my near vision hadn't improved and I was finding it hard to read my phone. In the next three months my eyes went through a lot of changes. I had intermittent blurring and I was scared about my eyes. But the representative in the UK reassured me that all these changes happen and it may take at least 6 months to stabilise. Today almost 110 days have passed and I am quite pleased to tell you that my near vision has also become normal and I am typing this message from my android phone. My suggestion for you is to have two or three pairs of +1, +2 glasses as it may take some time for your near vision to improve. This will help you for a few days in the near vision till it gets sorted. In almost 2 months my near vision was 90% okay. Also, buy a set of eyedrops extra as you may have itching 2-4 weeks after the procedure. I am so thankful to all the staff at Nisantasi and I can confidently vouchsafe the LASIK procedure which is the best with regards to price and quality. They do what they tell!

He provided me all the information required and test pre- and post-surgeryAnthony, Australia, 31 07 25

I had a lens replacement surgery. It was a great and pleasant experience, and all the health consultants who assisted and supported me from start to finish were amazing. I will particularly mention Hassan, he was excellent as my consultant and interpreter and deserved a 5-star. My Doctor and surgeon, Dr Derda Ozer, was a brilliant and professional doctor and made me very comfortable before and after the surgery. He provided me all the information required and test pre- and post-surgery. The Trifocal and EMV lens replacement surgery IOL itself went very well without any problems at all. The Doctor was amazing with a lot of experience, and I was happy with the process and surgery itself. It was a great value for the amount I paid, and I chose the MDO health clinic because of their great reviews and track record of success from previous patients and My consultant, Hassan, was amazing in providing all the information I needed before making my decision to go with the clinic. My Clinic was the BHT clinic, which was a huge clinic and very clean and had all the state-of-the-art equipment and experts and specialists, and my Doctor Derda, was one of their best. Therefore, I will recommend him. I am now recovering, and my brain is still getting used to my new lenses since it's only just 2 weeks since the surgery.

Pterygium Surgery TL25286 - TL50571
Pterygium Surgery Pterygium surgery is a safe and effective treatment aimed at removing a growth called a pterygium, which is a benign, wing-shaped tissue that grows from the conjunctiva onto the cornea. This surgery restores clear vision, alleviates eye discomfort, and enhances cosmetic appearance. The procedure is typically performed as an outpatient surgery, allowing you to return home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye is numbed using anesthetic eye drops, and medication may be administered to help you relax. Removal of Pterygium: The surgeon carefully removes the abnormal tissue from the cornea and conjunctiva. Conjunctival Graft: A thin piece of healthy conjunctival tissue (graft) may be taken from another part of your eye to cover the area from where the pterygium was removed, reducing recurrence. Graft Placement: The graft is secured with a special adhesive or tiny sutures. Completion: A protective patch or bandage contact lens may be placed to promote healing. Recovery: Initial healing usually occurs within a few days to weeks. Mild discomfort, redness, or irritation is common immediately after surgery, but these symptoms gradually improve. Prescribed eye drops help prevent inflammation and infection, facilitating a smooth recovery. Benefits: Pterygium surgery significantly improves comfort and visual clarity, preventing further corneal distortion and irritation, while also improving cosmetic appearance. Risks: Though generally safe, potential complications include recurrence, graft displacement, infection, or inflammation. These issues are uncommon and usually manageable with prompt treatment.
Cataract Surgery TL35400 - TL151714
Cataract surgery is a safe and effective treatment to restore clear vision for those affected by cataracts. The surgery involves removing the cloudy lens from the eye and replacing it with a clear, artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis, which means you can go home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with drops, and you may be given medication to help you relax.Incision: The surgeon makes a small incision in the eye to access the lens.Lens Removal: Using a technique called phacoemulsification, the cloudy lens is broken up with ultrasound waves and then gently suctioned out.IOL Implantation: A foldable IOL is inserted through the incision and positioned into the lens capsule of your eye.Completion: The incision is usually self-sealing and does not require stitches.Recovery: Most people notice an improvement in their vision soon after surgery, though complete healing and vision stabilization can take a few weeks. You will need to use prescribed eye drops to help prevent infection and inflammation during this period. Benefits: Cataract surgery not only improves visual clarity but also enhances the quality of life by restoring your ability to perform daily activities with better vision. Risks: While cataract surgery is highly successful, as with any surgery, there are potential risks, such as infection, bleeding, or changes in eye pressure, which are rare and typically manageable.
RLE - Refractive Lens Exchange
RLE - Refractive Lens Exchange TL37929 - TL177000
Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) is a safe and effective surgical procedure designed to correct vision by replacing the eye's natural lens with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is typically recommended for individuals with presbyopia, high degrees of farsightedness, nearsightedness, or those who aren't ideal candidates for laser vision correction. RLE is usually performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with anesthetic drops, and you may receive sedation to help you relax. Incision: The surgeon makes a small incision in the cornea to access the natural lens. Lens Removal: The natural lens is gently fragmented and removed using a technique called phacoemulsification. IOL Implantation: An artificial IOL is inserted through the small incision and positioned securely within the lens capsule. Completion: The incision typically seals naturally without stitches, ensuring rapid recovery. Recovery: Vision improvement is often noticeable within a few days, with full visual stabilization occurring within several weeks. You'll need prescribed eye drops to manage inflammation and prevent infection during the recovery period. Benefits: RLE significantly improves visual clarity, reduces dependence on glasses or contact lenses, and provides permanent correction for refractive errors, particularly beneficial for individuals over 50. Risks: Although RLE is highly successful, potential risks include infection, increased eye pressure, retinal detachment, or visual disturbances such as glare or halos. Such complications are rare and usually treatable if promptly addressed.
