I came from Finland for surgery with the doctor. As the surgery would be 1/5 of the price of what I would have to pay in in my own home country. I visited the doctor and he examined me and took the time to do all the proper tests to see if I needed the surgery or not. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and there was no need for the surgery after all!! Though I did not need surgery, I can 100% recommend the doctor since he could have very easily said oh yeah sure let's do it, and just take my money! Overall the doctor was very professional and I could see that he had a lot of expertise and accumulated knowledge and it felt I could trust him. More than that the doctor’s assistant is amazing, speaks very good English, and provided clear and informed communication along the process. Very thankful for their efforts.

Chirurgie implique soit un traitement au laser, faisant un rabat de drainage dans l’oeil, l’insertion d’une soupape de drainage, ou la destruction du tissu qui crée le fluide dans l’oeil. Toutes les procédures visent à réduire la pression à l’intérieur de l’œil. La chirurgie peut aider à réduire la pression lorsque le médicament n’est pas suffisant, mais il ne peut pas inverser la perte de vision. Chirurgie au laser - Trabéculoplastie au laser permet le fluide de s’écouler hors de l’œil. Un faisceau laser à haute énergie est utilisé pour stimuler le réseau trabéculaire pour travailler plus efficacement au drainage du fluide. Les résultats peuvent être quelque peu temporaires, et la procédure peut être répétée à l’avenir.
