FESS - Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Conservative treatment is always the first line in sinusitis with antibiotics, nose sprays or tablets. If your sinusitis is not improving, sinus washouts or functional endoscopic sinus surgery may be considered as an option to clear the sinuses and widen the drainage holes endoscopically. Certain tumours of the nose and sinuses can also be treated endoscopically.

Tonsil Removal

The tonsils may be removed when they cause recurrent infections and sore throat, or obstruct breathing (e.g. obstructive sleep apnoea). They are sometimes removed when infection causes abscess formation, or to diagnose certain cancers. State of the art radio-frequency removal helps to reduce pain after the surgery.

Video stroboscopic investigation of the way your vocal folds look and are moving means Dr Lau is able to ascertain very quickly the exact nature of your voice issue and how to treat it. Alongside this state of the art investigative technology, Dr Lau's surgical expertise offers the gamut of minimally invasive in-clinic injections and procedures; as well as in-patient laser micro laryngeal phonosurgery for more serious vocal fold issues that need surgical correction.
