Nutritionist and food intolerance expert Claire Jefferies runs a private nutrition consultancy and assists clients with a number of different health issues. She can assist clients both in person or over Skype.
Initially, Claire offers clients a free 15-minute telephone consultation to gain an understanding of the client’s health problems and to give some pointers on steps they could take to relieve symptoms.
Claire specialises in food intolerances, gut health and weight management.
She can assist with various health conditions such as IBS and other digestive disorders, skin disorders such as eczema, acne or psoriasis, neurological complaints such as migraine, depression, anxiety, poor memory or ADHD, hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, metabolic disorders and eating disorders.
Claire can also help clients suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, Celiac Disease and various other autoimmune diseases.
Various laboratory testing services are available, including food intolerance tests, stool tests, hormone tests, blood tests for nutritional deficiencies, various antibody tests and gut permeability / blood brain barrier permeability tests.
Claire also has a background in sports nutrition and has previously worked alongside one of the world’s leading sports nutritionists, Dr Asker Jeukendrup. Claire worked with Asker in the laboratory to test various nutritional protocols on elite cyclists, and this resulted in a study being published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology.
Claire’s background as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer also allows her to advise clients on exercise for weight loss.
Having been to cookery school Claire knows how to make healthy food taste great and is therefore able to provide clients with practical guidance, delicious recipes and detailed meal plans.
Furthermore, Claire works with various corporate clients by providing 12-week nutrition awareness courses. This involves regular formal presentations and seminars to employees, food intolerance testing, one-to-one consultations, health promotion activities, canteen analysis and provision of meal plans or meal planning guidance.
Claire frequently provides education on why good nutrition is so important for our health and wellbeing and her passion and enthusiasm for the subject is always evident in her delivery.
