I have had 2 MRI scans here within 2 weeks, of my back and hip. The receptionists were pleasant, the radiologist was absolutely lovely, really pleasant. I had a buzzer to alert him if I wanted anything or wanted to come out of the scanner and radio on headphones which was very welcome. He helped me down afterwards as I was in a lot of pain in my hip & leg.
Excellent, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. I was given discs with my scans on immediately after I had changed. This was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, although I had been told my report would only be a day or two, the first time, my GP said they hasn't received it after 2 weeks (althougg the clinic said it was posted after 2 days) and the second time, I had my MRI on a Monday, phoned to ask if it was done on Wednesday (I was told it had but it was waiting to be signed off by the radiology doctor) and I phoned on Friday only to be told the same thing. I said this and after quite a lot of pushing, I was told that it had been done & typed up the same day I had it but the doctor had been off "for s couple of days". This was absurd as they had to have been off for 4 days. I should have been told on Wednesday if they were off for 4 days and I still do not know when my report will be ready. I had to cancel a physio appointment as I was in a lot of pain and didn't want to make my hip worse if it needed surgery or complete rest. I have another appointment on Tuesday next so I sincerely hope I have the report by then.
