The Team The LHWU is privileged to work with a growing number of eminent Consultant Orthopaedic and Plastic Hand Surgeons. Collectively the LHWU group of consultant have expertise in the medical and surgical management of all conditions and injuries affecting the hand and wrist. The Hand Therapy team is comprised of highly experienced Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists at a Senior or Clinical Specialist level. The Hand Therapists share the skills of both professions in addition to their extended role as wound care nurse and plaster technician. Collectively the skills and knowledge possessed by the hand therapist ensure holistic care from initial assessment through to discharge.
